Robben, Ribéry, Alonso, Rafinha, Badstuber contracts

Postby Coman » Thu Sep 08, 2016 6:49 pm

Thread about Robben, Ribéry and Alonso contracts with FC Bayern. :pep:

All of them have a contract running 'til june 2017 and will respectively have 33, 34 and 35 years old at this moment.

What's your thoughts about them ? What Bayern should do with them in your opinion and why ?

You could talk about everything in your argumentation (possible new players instead of them, "if they can play this season without being injured" etc.)

I will simply ask you to use this method to answer :

Robben : I think blablabla ...

Ribéry : The club should blablabla ...

Alonso : It's blablabla

Rafinha : ...

Badstuber : blabla

Robben : He shouldn't be extended except if, by magic, play the upcoming season without many injuries. He can be good as hell, if he is injured 80% of the time, he is useless, sadly.

Ribéry : In my opinion his future should be decided in relation to Robben's future. I don't think let both leave is a good idea ... and I don't think to keep both is a good idea neither. If Robben makes a great season, maybe he should be the one we kept (1 year younger) ... if Robben is always injured : Ribéry, except if he does a 2014/15 season, should stay, even at 34 yo) But whatever happen, I think one winger has to be sign by Bayern next summer.

Alonso : In my opinion and whatever will happen this season, his contract shouldn't be extended. He is an important player but the future is already here with Kimmich and Renato, even if the portuguese isn't the same profil of player. Too bad we have already 3 assistant coach ... I would have love to see him on the bench.

Rafinha : Shouldn't be extend. Kimmich is already a better back-up for Lahm.

Badstuber : I think the heart has to talk when we talk about him... if he really can't make more than 10 games, Bayern should stop ... if he can makes between 10 and 20, Bayern should extend him BUT sign another CB .. if he can make more than 20 games ... then a extend is good imo.

Starke and Green : They aren't even in the subject title. I don't rate him at all. :coffee:

Thank for the argumentation and thoughts JANCKER =D> :coffee: 8)

Robben : Depends on the situation, he is won't getting any younger and from minor injuries he went to long injuries. It's a very delicate matter. He has earned a legendary status both for titles he won for us and for his quality being the best winger in the world. I think he deserves a final contract to close his career at Bayern as super sub. Renew him but buy a proper replacement.

Ribéry : Injury free he is an asset for us still at this age, if he won't have a loooong injury renew him for the bench role in the coming years, he deserves that even more he earned that just as Robben, it's a matter of principles people, of course not as the franchise player he was but for 20 games per season and guide the new winger(CoCo or a transfer) he is perfect, injury free of course. Renew him.

Alonso : Loved him at his prime, one of the greatest midfielders but this should be his last year at Munich IMO. He is a metronome and only sometimes a threat from distance. Thiago & Renato or someone else(transfer) in the future should take his role permanently. I can't see what Alonso can provide to Bayern in the coming years. No extension.

Rafinha : Well as a 2nd option RB he is fine but we have Kimmich now and we should trust him with more games and minutes, Lahm has one year more so Kimmich will be our first option probably. Rafinha next year will be 32. Kimmich 1st Rafinha 2nd, I'll be OK.

Badstuber : If he is not finished(hope not) then extend him he is our guy and if he stays fit he can fight with another player for the 3rd CB role. Jerome & Mats starters, Badi & Transfer for bench.

Starke and Green : No & No, not Bayern material we can find better alternatives on the market or promote youth players.

We should rejuvenate our squad slowy. Not renewing Alonso, Rafinha and one of Robben, Ribery is crucial for it.

Badstuber can stay with a low wage for 1 more year. On the other hand, Green should deserve the extension with his perfonmances this season.

Green. He should be properly asessed before letting him go. I think the lad has a potential to become a very good player if he plays regular football.

Robbery : One wil be 33 this Jan and the other 34 in the same yr  - I think that they are both very imp players even in the dressing room.. maybe a yr by yr extension for each?

Badstuber ; I don't see why not.

Rafinha: I am sorry Raf

Alonso : No

Kalle said that we might renew with Ribery, Robben and Alonso. We have the advantage to rejuvenate the squad and increase quality but we want to renew with finished Alonso? We have some kind of obligatory to play with 10 men with Alonso? Weird decision.

On the other hand, Renewing with one of Robben/Ribery for limited role and not renewing Alonso would be much better.l hope we don't renew with Alonso.

Uli Hoeneß on possible contract extensions with oldies like Arjen Robben or Franck Ribery: "I will not comment on contracts."

Hoeneß added: "But everyone who knows me, knows that I will never forget when assessing such players, what they have done for this club."

Robben : I love robben but I think its time to move on.He MUST come back after retiring though.

Ribéry : Definitely yes.

Alonso : Depends on this season and what Alonso thinks.Kimmich still has to learn a lot from him.I would love it if Kimmich turns out to have intelligence of lahm and passing of Alonso with the finishing of makaay..I am not joking he already has a bit of these he needs to just grow this same way and my seemingly mad expectations will become reality.

Rafinha : NO! I would pay from my own pocket for him to leave if need be.

Badstuber : Yes...And I mentioned why it would be a great move.

Green:Depends on this season.

Starke:Hell no.Give his spot to Fruchtl.
