Question about the red lighting at Allianz Arena

Postby agjil » Tue Apr 03, 2012 9:02 pm

Hello,

I've seen several pictures of the Allianz Arena lighting up in red, and thought they were pretty cool.
Luckily, I received a couple of tickets from a friend for Bayern Munich's last home game of the season, which is on April 28.
While I'm pretty excited to watch the game, I'm also looking forward to see the red lights in person.
One thing I'm curious about is that the match starts at 3:30 pm, and I was wondering if Allianz Arena would still light up in red color that day even though the match starts in the afternoon when it's bright outside, and will probably finish before it gets dark.
Does Allianz Arena light up the red lights only when a match is in progress at night time, or does it also light up in red later in the evening when an afternoon match is over?

Thanks in advance-!
agjil

Wasn't it red for Bayern, white for Germany and blue for the camels?

Will remain red throughout the evening on the 28th.
All other nights, the colour of the stadium changes between blue, white and red at 30 minute intervals.

It'll be white, that's the neutral colour for the Allianz (and the NT).

I don't think so, it's just a pic I found on FB. Probably photoshopped but it could be real (there was no source stated and I didn't think it was true until I saw the article you posted).

It will probably be something like that though, it's similar to the colours on the ball. I think it looks very nice, better than the white at least.

Having it half red half blue would probably be a good idea too.

Like the "Sueddeutsche Zeitung" reports that UEFA has for 19 May a sophisticated marketing ploy can think of. Is planning the European Football Association, the outer shell of the stadium at the final evening in light green and turquoise to make. "The lighting is the color of the final logo of the UEFA match '," said Bavaria's media director Markus Hörwick the newspaper.

as per the article this is the confirmed color.
