Ok fair enough... but that is not racism...

Maybe racism is a harsh word, but it definitely falls under the more generic word of 'discriminatory' :)

that is the one...

like for example Paceville... certain people of a particular background, ''hamalli'' are not permitted in...
This is done to keep a certain standard. Maybe the bouncer at the door uses some euphemism by saying that there is a private party today!

The fact is it's still discrimination by terms of being unwilling to do business with an entity from a specific country. That in my books is racist, but you can call it whatever you want. However, let's say you open a grocery store... you can't refuse to let North Koreans enter your store, because there's laws that stop you from doing exactly that because it's deemed, well, racist.

If you are refusing that guy's money not because of who he is but because you suspect that the money came from drugs, prostitution, stolen goods etc. that is not racism.
Anyway I think that the grocery store is simplifying much more complex things too much. So when a country or let's say the UN takes measures such as an embargo against another country such as North Korea due to some misdeeds from that country, is that rascism /discrimination ?

What on earth are you on about, Mutu? Rather than make these outlandish and ridiculous jumps in logic we could just accept this as an unsavory, less-than-perfect deal and move on.

I've been seeing the advertisement for the Airport that we has the sponsorship with on the advert boards along the pitch when watching matches.
This deal isn't so bad tbh, just these small additions for a lot of money is fine with me!

If all companies are owned by the state in Qatar, as someone said earlier and which I haven't attempted to confirm, it sounds random enough to me.

Please tell me you are kidding.

What's wrong with wanting to have more sponsors from Germany rather than an international sponsor?

Main sponsors
Telekom
Adidas
Audi
Allianz

Platinum sponsors
DHL
Gigaset
Goodyear (American but founded by a german man)
Hamad airport (from qatar)
Hypovereinbank
Lufthansa
Paulaner
SAP
tipico
Yingli(chinese)

The point I am making is that pretty much all their sponsors are german, and why are we going to the middle east for a large sponsorship? Tradition is more important that money, many clubs have lost their respectable history with mega sponsors.

Going local has different implications. My beef is with considering a sponsor from Dubai to be OK but one from Qatar not. That is discrimination by country.

The airport is from qatar, not dubai...if that's what you meant. I honestly fell like they don't want to many sponsors from farther regions of the world. We have one from america, one from asia, and one from the middle east....seems perfectly fine to me.

I brought in Dubai as an example since they are geographically close, at least I think so.
