Lars vs Sven

Postby Haruko Arsenal » Mon Mar 31, 2014 4:15 pm

Whos better and why?

Could either of them get into the Bayern side?

Do you think they'll be making a move away this summer?

Thanks.

Lars. Because Sven isn't just a classic defensive midfielder, anchor man or something like that. He can do something with ball and cover the RB position if and when it's needed.

No, Sven surely not because we sold one Gustavo who's far better player than him. Lars had an opportunity in summer 2011 or 2012, but at the end Jupp opted for Javi Martinez who's better than both Lars and Sven and even Gustavo.

Last half a year, there haven't been any of indications of the mentioned possibility. Sven certainly is not going anywhere since he is an integral part of Klopp's game.

Lars might leave if he expresses desire to leave or if there will be an interest of major clubs and big offer which can satisfy Völler and Holzhauser, but that all is unlikely.

Lars has signed a 6 year deal too.. argh.

no way he's going to be interested in a move.

Cheers for all your answers my friend. I'm hoping for an Arteta replacement, he's 32 going into next year so it's time a replacement is bought.

No problem, mate.

But just know one thing... No matter what kind of status Lars has in the board's eyes or how long is Bender's contract, even one positive signal from a player is enough on someone's interest so he can switch his opinion and decide to move on somewhere else.

I'm pretty sure that Lars would be interested in moving to Arsenal and joining to his German friends from the Elf.

It was more about the fee.

I'd be certain a handful of teams would be interested. Would be difficult to prize him away, I'd estimate Lars' value to be £15m+

TM estimates Bender 22 mil €

He isn't cheap, that's for sure. :|

Maybe if Bayer couldn't qualify for CL, then Lars might be on a move.

Well judging by Leverkusen's history, they asked us for some 40 million or something for Lars, but would probably sell him for 10 million to Arsenal. Remember Vidal?

Personally, I think in terms of quality the two are similar. I'd prefer Sven for the experience.
