A lot has been discussed about changing formations and so on against the two Spanish teams for a long time now, but halfway through the season I feel confident enough to say that this season we can beat both of them playing our usual starting 11.

We are a similar team to Barcelona, and Real have not yet managed to win one against them. Now Barcelona might have better players, but while they'll be motivated against us (especially if it's a final) they won't be as motivated as against Barca, and I'm sure their determination to beat them increases with every Classico.

As for Barcelona, some are saying that they always suffer a dip in form in February. However imo they have been inconsistent the whole season and their defense (especially with Pique and Puyol suffering a lot of injuries) is NOT good. It will be a question of who can get the best away game and which team can score most goals, and I think it would be 50-50.

I don't want to see him making headers from corner shots any time soon. He has not relented an inch there. Given the choice, Kompany I'll take any day of the week; I don't care what Gomez did to City's self esteem.

The other side is weaker I believe.
That reminds me of us because our left side is weaker.
Anyway if we have Schweini in and Muller or Robben in form we can manage to win them.

Cr7 is a big Flop in Classicos , and Sure Ribery would do better than him vs Barca and this season i would rate Ribery as good as him ...
As for Marcelo i won't even waste my time and Compare this kid with the best and the most complete Fullback in the world Philipp Lahm

That's a good point. Robben is a difference maker in Champions League games against tough opponents. You need the Robbery threat on the wings in order to have FCB at its peak. Yet, Robben has "side effects" on the team.

If we are pitted against any team we will not win unless we make some major changes in our squads:

We have to start off, by making all the attackers (Gomez, Ribery, Robben, Muller, Kroos, and Alaba, Olic) on the same page. They have to get on the pitch and start moving into positions of effect when we are attacking. The last match against Basel was horrific. There was no attackive movement and when there was movement, the player on the ball became selfish. We have to learn to attack quick and on counter. The fact that we have high possession is not good, as we are passing the ball backwards as we want to create space. Our team lined up in 4-2-3-1 is way better at counter attacking. This way we would be able to cause more damage.

Also the attackers (especially Gomez) have to grow in confidence only then will we be able to get back to the track of thinking bout playing against the likes of Barca and RM.
Bayern got to fix up there attack

(3) Juventus - 61 %
(4) Roma - 60.5 %
(5) Real Madrid - 60.2%

Average Pass Succ Rate Top 5 -
(1) Barcelona - 88.7 %
(2) Bayern Munich - 86.7%

(3) Manchester City - 86%
(4) Real Madrid - 85.4 %
(5) Chelsea - 85.4 %

Bayern Munich Home Possession - 65.5 %
Barcelona Away Possession - 68.2 %

Bayern Munich Home Pass Succ Rate - 87.8 %
Barcelona Away Pass Succ Rate - 87.6 %

Clearly the marks of great teams, passing success and possession. And we score goals like Barca too. It would be great to see Barca versus Bayern when both teams are on form and have all players available.

Against Real:
Stop Ozil.He is easier to stop than Ronaldo, and if we succeed in doing so, will pass the burden to Ronaldo

Focus on Marcelo. He is like Rafinha, and can be caught in the wrong position.

Against Barca
This might sound absurd and impossible, but we should stop Messi from receiving the ball rather than trying to bog him down.
Emre CAN do it.

How about asking him nicely, would that work?

I think we'd do well against Barca.

I think we're disciplined enough to reduce their effect when they have the ball, especially putting Lahm on a man marking Messi role.

I also think we'd take them in the Allianz.

Finally time to start talking about this...

Suspensions and injuries are my main concern. If we have a full team in both games it is going to be very close (possibly even decided on away goals/penalties), but I think we have what it takes to make the final.
