FC Bayern München in different languages

Postby munichfan » Thu Jan 26, 2012 1:20 pm

Hi guys,

I'm trying to create a list the phrase "FC Bayern München" in as many different languages as possible.

Could you help out by adding our favourite football club's name in your native language?

Would be greatly appreciated :P

In Maltese there is no name for Munich, so we use Bayern Munich. But I know that Italians use Bayern Monaco.

Most media outlets call it "Müncheni Bayern", which would be directly translated into "Bayern of München". I really dislike that, though - noone says "Manchesteri United", for example. I just say Bayern München in every language.

I'm Estonian, by the way.

Monaco. It's odd - they call Nice "Nizza", for example. They call damn near everything by their own name, but not Monaco (though considering the demographics Monaco could be considered sorta kinda Italian anyway).
