I'm obviously too young to have seen him, but it is my understanding that Kalle should be the one next to Gerd.

I know its a bit premature to include lewa but i did that because i know its just a matter of time before it happens if he stays here 2 more seasons then that's it..His place would be as unquestionable as gerd muller..KHR is the second highest scorer in bayern history with 218..lewa has 76..we will see..

Anyway the gap between gerd muller and second placed khr is something like 300 goals..this needs to be closed down to a respectable figure..so ..go Lewy!

Gerd Muller played in a different era, he would have more like 40-50% less goals against modern defenders. Players today are generally beasts, football is better and WAY more physical, players are machines.

Simply don't compare two eras... that's would be fair and respectable. You probably have more genocide against the small today than before...

Kind of an odd formation but this is the only way I could fit everyone I feel deserves a spot.

Thats not possible cause people are comparing Gerd's stats with Lewa's, so eras are a MUST in that equation.

Football today >>>>>>>>>>>>> football then.

Except that those professionals were way LESS professional than present time ones.

He was a standout against a sea of mediocre defenders, my whole point is that defenders and goalkeepers in the modern era are way tougher to play against and score against. Same goes for Pele, Maradona and all the others from that time. That's why Messi is the best player ever in my eyes... because he plays in this "beast mode" modern era of football.

Not diminishing old players contributions and legendary statuses, though. They are the legends of their time, but those legends will have one hell of a hard time against these modern robots. Everything is way better - fitness, supplements, medicine, facilities. The talent of a single player is obviously a big factor and equal to all eras, all the other factors are non-comparable.

Today's players, especially the most famous ones, are way more protected by referees now than ever before. And all in all, you can't compare different eras.
