Can this Bayern team beat the best in Europe?

Postby Firefox1234 » Mon Feb 29, 2016 6:34 pm

It is obvious that there is one glaring obstacle to Bayern being the best team in the world and at the moment that is Barcelona, not to discount the other teams like Juve, RM, PSG etc but especially over two legs I dont see any other team that can shake the boots of this Bayern team other than Barca. In my opinion I think when this team is healthy they can beat this current Barcelona side, last season I thought the aggregate score was an exaggerated one especially when you saw how this team was able to put up a solid fight in the home leg but a lot of unfortunate mistakes in the first leg(especially in those final 10 or so minutes)made it to daunting of a task in the end. Even before the game last season what was the nail in the coffin for me that season was when Robben was hurt after coming on just minutes into the Pokal semi vs BvB. The Bayern team last season lacked any proper wide men to really stretch what can be a fragile Barca defense and we had to rely on wing-backs like Bernat who sadly made that deadly mistake to the first Messi goal at the Nou Camp. But this season with a healthy looking Robbery and the deadly acquisition of Costa and a no nonsense midfielder like Vidal I am more confident than ever as long as our CB situation doesnt deteriorate anymore than it has. Dont get me wrong MSN gave Bayern a good pasting and Messi scored some WORLD CLASS goals but that weakened Bayern side held out for as long as they could at the Nou Camp and put an admirable performance in the second leg, but i would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.....

We managed to beat them (even if the tie was already over) last year, with a badly injured team. This year, I believe we are stronger. We can definitely beat them but probably like our last 3 encounters, the first leg will be decisive.
Super Bayern! Super Bayern! Hey! Hey!

Both teams are near invicible in front of there home crowd and goals are almost inevitable, the one thing last season taught me was Barca are human but so far this season(not even RM)Barca have not played a team even close to the quality and discipline that Bayern have!

OMG  I had this same thought this afternoon while driving for my break as soon as I saw a Barca flag hanging from a balcony.
But then I've remembered that we still have to get pass juve and I came back to my senses.

Obviously im still aware Juve is the greatest task in front of us but atm Bayern are set to advance if the score stays as is. Also Barca are the obvious rivals and main opposition for the quest for the 6th UCL trophy seeing there current form.

If we did our homework and signed 1 or 2 CBs in the summer... but we didn't so... it can go any way but it would be a good game. I like to think that we're superior anyway...

If we had to play with all our 25 players fully 100% fit I wouldn't fear them ...
Actually I fear no one with a ful squad...

First of all, if we're to face Barcelona this season, I hope it's before the final. We do need two legs in front of them. Don't get me wrong though, they do need that too believe me.
My only concern now is the CBs situation we're having, if Martinez comes back fit enough and Benatia manages to not get injured every 3 matches and we have them both in the middle, we will have a good chance to beat them. And it will be a pure 50/50 game.

There's no one else to fear actualy. I mean look at that attack, middlefield, and yea... ignore the defence, theyre the best team out there, and i dont think there's anyone who can match them atm... outside Germany ofc. I think we can beat them, not sure away but home we would control the game preety decently

Since when we're masters of finals? Knowing that can't win even a German Supercup Final and the other finals that we lost + the ones that we won were close games. :-k
