2 full backs, 1 CB, 1 Mid, 4 wingers and 2 strikers? That's pure suicide, we would get slaughtered. Robben doesn't have the passing ability or aggression to play as a CM against Barca, or anyone for that matter. Ribery could play as a 10 sometime in the future but he's made it clear that he wants to be a winger. 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 for Barca, we have to dominate the midfield, anything else is suicide

Lahm and Alaba constantly overlapping on the wing, Thiago/Vidal moving back to help out Boateng if need be. Can see Robben progressing in to a role controlling the play from deep but surging forward where necessary

Way too much attack, we need at least Vidal, Martinez, Alonso or Kimmich in the middle if we're playing that type of formation...

Playing conservatively will get us nowhere!!! Need to get right at them from the whistle, rattle a few cages

Exactly what bastos said! The goals we conceded vs Barca last season were mainly counter attack ones and not through build up, Barca are just as good on the break and maybe even better than when they score through build up in the midfield.

Yes, Barça are probably the best team in Europe in counters. Their front 3 just doesn't ever mess up, absolutely clinical.

People always seem to forget that it could've been 3-0 already when Messi scored the first one though...

Exactly! Just let them have the ball, they'll eventually misplace a pass and we'll totally overwhelm them with our numbers in attack, Having Lewa, Muller, Robbern, Ribery, Costa and Coman all running at their defence will absolutely terrify them

I like how you have alaba and lahm and robben bombing forward meaning for the most part you want vidal and boateng marking their front 3 through the match as well as any other barca player that isnt in their own half. Pep has had some unique formations but this would surpass it why dont we play benatia as a sweeper as well

If the MSN can attack by themselves and alone, then Costa, Coman, Lewandowski and Muller have to do the same. The high line is not Pep desire, just the way for support our attackers when they cant create chances to score by themselves.

For mark Messi, Suarez and Neymar, our defenders should be well positioning, so they must not play too high. Coman, Costa, Lewa and Muller have to face the mark, create attempts and damage barca defensive line by themselves.
Super-Bayern! Super-Bayern! Hey! Hey!

I donot like the name of this thread becuase bayern in good form and with no injuries can beat any team in the world.bayern have the best squad in the world and the most versatile and high footballing iq players. For the formation and tactics i would suggest this when we donot have possession of the ball.
Image
Now we do have the ball i would suggest going 4 at the back and preventing lahm from overlapping coman due to him getting older and loosing the
speed to get back in defense at time.i think like this we would be able to prevent counters and also counter attack them easily.
Image
Also i went with coman and costa instead of robben and ribery because i think we need speed in this game and costa and coman are just much faster than ribery and robben

It's still a question... Atletico surely can with Simeone.

As I've said before... Winning the CL is a matter of form... No one would have beaten Barça in the first half of the season.
