Barca are Bayern's professional rivals. There is no historical rivalry between the two clubs and Barcelona are no longer Bayern's number one threat in the CL.

Furthermore, Uefalona have won four of their five European Cups in the last decade or so (since Messi showed up). To say Barcelona are Bayern's chief rival ahead of even Milan and United (let alone Real Madrid) is incredibly silly.

The World's most successful sporting entity calls Bayern Munich "La Bestia Negra" as they don't do so with anyone else and you want to know who is our Chief Rival anywhere?

Now that's silly.

I know they used to call us "La Bestia Negra". The question that begs is whether or not they still refer to us in that way, or whether it's a case of Bayern fans bringing that up every time just because, well, it suits us well.

You might say: clinging to it to have a ray of hope in our inferiority (complex)...

We need a win next time. Eliminating us twice in a row isn't quite enough to remove that title if you ask me.

No... But not even being able to beat them at home is bringing us very close...

I believe that if Bayern are to regain their status as La bestia Negra they must not only eliminate Real Madrid over two legs but also win both the home as well as away fixtures. Then and only then can we again restore that reputation.

Easier said than done but this needs to happen soon though. A 2-0 at home and 2-1 away would be realistic. Hopefully the team clicks in the second half of the season.

Let me re-phrase that: Give me any other team they would rather not meet at present as much as Bayern and I will concede that point.

Our chief rivals remain Man U Milan and Real ... no matter what the recent results said...

We never won a competitive match against the italian red devils!

Real's president a couple of months ago said Milan are their true rivals in Europe, I guess for Bayern are both, followed by United
