I don't understand why we need to sell shares if we are making profit year by year. The more shares we sell, the less profit we would make, no? All this for just a short term gain?

I think we're basically treating the shares as interest-free loans. Not sure if the locals like it though.

Having 27% control with just three guys to deal with, instead of close to 200,000, sounds like a good deal; for the top brass that is.

It's nice to get a sum like that, but I don't really like that we keep selling shares. Even if the percentage is too small for any of the other shareholders to have a say, I see selling shares as part of the club gone, probably forever.

Its hard to judge whether this is good or bad since we have no insight on the future plans of the club.....

I was very excited when I read about the 100 mil for 9% of shares deal this morning, however this afternoon I watched the interview with Uli and all he said was that in the near future there MAY be room for another large German company to come in and become a premium partner like Audi or Adidas with a similar or higher monetary involvement. He also said that if this were to happen, we could pay off the stadium at once.
I believe that we don't have a sure deal in the works, Uli just said this to spark interest. The reason behind it would be the ~25 mil. we would save in stadium payments annually. A few months ago Uli and KH said that the stadium would be paid off in the next 4-5 years, now it seems to me they want to reach that point sooner, so we have more money to spend in the next few years, while still remaining the richest club in Europe

Anyone cares to speculate who this 100 million affordable, close friends with the board, top German non-sporting equipment/automobile company might be?

Finance/insurance or of that nature, I'd say.

I think that Deutsche Telekom, Lufthansa could do it...as they are already our premium partners.

But I would prefer someone new...as we would get those 100mil € + annual 5-10 mil€ from premium sponsorship [same as Audi and some others].

There are also others like Allianz etc...that are already partners with us and have a lot of money.

But I would prefer us keeping the shares...unless some really crazy offer comes in.

Horwick apologized to team Sponsor and shareholder Adidas regarding Götze and Kirchhoff yesterday: "We have assured Adidas that this will not happen again."

Oh com'on. Stop b!tching. All you have to do is sign Thiago and sit him with one of those lifestyle adidas shirts on his Manchester United team presentation. :P

PS: Is Adidas capitalized or not? They spend a lot of money not doing so...
