I agree with this. Looking at just this tournament it is well-deserved.

I disagree about the Bundesliga. Jupp should have gotten it, having coached the most remarkable league season in Bundesliga history. But I think we had heard about this a long time ago, before Jupp won the treble.

When it comes to looking at the whole season, all competitions, there should be no other candidate.

Yeah but Freiburg is a team that wouldn't look out of place battling relegation from the 2. Liga.

WOW! Great article! Makes me feel really sad for Jupp the way he was treated was very VERY unfair, but it was most yl sporting reasons and Uli knew that an opportunity like this had to be taken....

It's very surprising how desperate he was to join us. :)

Regarding Jupp, you can't blame him for being upset but I also understand why KHR and Uli kept it secret from him. I think that 6 months later Jupp has forgiven them and he is retiring happily and not because he was forced to.
