According to Forbes, Man Untd is still the most valuable soccer asset on the planet, followed by Real Madrid and Arsenal.

Barcelona have dropped to fifth place, however, with German side Bayern Munich leapfrogging the Catalan team.

According to SportingIntelligence a Bayern player earns 4mil per year. Whereas the Barcelona and Real Madrid players earn a bit more than 7mil a year

You are right. I believe we are ranked #1 as far as debt free clubs go. There is the stadium debt though but it is a 'healthy' debt coming from an quite important revenue producing asset.

On Saturday the team bus was stuck in traffic and the bus driver drove on the wrong side of the road for some 200 metres. He was caught by the police and now faces punishment that ranges between a 2,000 euro fine + 1 month driving ban to a bigger fine, imprisonment and permanent loss of license.

This is one of those news that really p***ses me off. This is a lady that apparently has been driving die Roten for quite some years now, I think it was more than 10 years, and they were quite pressured for time before Saturday's match. Traffic had collapsed and she took it upon herself to save the team by going the wrong way for some 200 meters and make it to the stadia.
Now nobody says if she was told to do so or was ordered but EITHER way she is quite clearly a responsible driver working on behalf of the team. She sure as hell wasn't driving to her children's school or to the shopping center for God's sake.
Now she faces loosing her source of income and a sizable fine. This is what happens when ordinary folks stick their necks out for the good of others and have to pay the consequences by their own.
This is why this is a shitty world after all.

I'm sure Bayern will bail her out, what's 2 000 euros plus a couple of well-placed bribes to the board?
