Attending Bayern games

Postby dcunitedfan » Thu Oct 24, 2013 3:42 pm

I will be in Munich on 12/10. Although I have little hope of scoring a ticket for the MC game, I would like to get some thoughts on whether this is at all possible. Does anyone have any experience with ticket brokers?

What are the best places to watch the game in the city center?

Get a ticket options:
1. Check http://www.viagogo.de/fcbayern constantly;
2. Check ebay.de constantly;
3. If all else fails, go to the stadium in the match day and look for someone selling tickets. They'll be more expensive, but it is a last resort.

Where to watch:
1. There are several 'Biergarten' where they are transmitting the match, although, it's winter so the places options narrow a bit. But this is easy to find a place.

Edit: 12/10 you mean December, right? :P

Re: Attending Bayern games

Postby hrosenberg33 » Tue Oct 29, 2013 5:26 am

Hey everyone, first post so I hope I'm not starting off on a bad foot.

My wife and I are visiting Munich from Dec 9-Dec 15 and we were hoping to go to the Bayern vs. Man City game and Bayern vs. Hamburg game.

I have checked viagogo constantly but there appear to be no tickets available. Ebay is tough as it's all in German (google translate doesn't translate it all). Are there any other options out there at all? Has anyone used www.easysportstickets.com or www.seatwave.com? The tickets are incredibly expensive on there but I worry about how reliable they are.

Finally, what are the chances of getting tickets on game days from scalpers or resellers?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hans

Well, I've been to the stadium five times I guess this year and all the times there were people selling tickets on match day.

Any comments on the prices they were asking for?

I attended two games last season at the Allianz Areana. In each case I bought tickets via Bayern Tours, by watching their website on a daily basis and buying the tickets as soon as availability was announced. With Bayern Tours, of course, you must pay for at least two nights accomodation in one of the 4-5 participating hotels. This suited us well, but may not suit everyone - particularly anyone who has other accommodation arrangements. The tickets are usually in around sections 240/241, and they are quite good seats. All in all, we think that the package Bayern Tours offers is very good value.

Well, that's encouraging if I can't find anything online. Any areas in particular (ie. outside the subway station, one of the gates, etc)? Thanks!

Darn, this would have worked out great! Unfortunately both games are sold out on their site. I guess that's what happens when you are a fan of a team coming off of a treble winning season. #-o

In the Pokal game against Hannover, the ticket from the website was IIRC 35€, and a friend bought there directly for 60€.

After checking Viagogo non-stop for the last month I have my tickets to the Man City and Hamburg games coming up. Each ticket was 60 euros and with the additional fees turned out to be 80-85 euros each. I don't know what the face value of the original tickets were but either way glad we got them. Viagogo already shipped one set to our hotel and the others should arrive soon.

So for those looking for tickets simply check Viagogo 3-4 times per day and you should be able to find them with patience. =D>

You got them at a very reasonable price. It also depends on where are you going to be seated.
When I attended (3 yrs ago) I was in sector 229 which is in the second tier almost at the centre of the stadium it was 60.00 eur.

So we got the tickets in our hands. Delivered to our hotels. The face value says 60 euros each so certainly a good price.

Now for tomorrow's game any suggestions on where to go prior to the game? We are at Marienplatz and would love to take part in some classic pre-game traditions. We are also going Saturday so if any suggestions for that day please let me know!! Can't wait!!

Congrats Hosenberg! The tradition is basically to drink some Weissbier, eat some Wurst and have fun.

I hope you enjoy the match!
