Well Heynckes isn't going to shove a nitrous oxide cylinder up Martinez's ass to make him run faster. #-o

With Neuer and Ribéry injured it's hard to say which players will be starter.

It's even more harder as we don't know if Heynckes plan to play with Javi Martinez in midfield or not.

IMO :
With Martinez :

Starting system :

Build-up position :

Without Martinez :

Starting system :

Build-up position :

That's how Bayern worked under Heynckes, except it was Schweinsteiger who played deep-lying playmaker and insert himself in a 3 men defense for the build-up and Martinez who occupate the midfield by himself, helped by one of Ribéry, Müller or Robben depending where the ball was going.
Bayern 3-3-3-1 build-up under Heynckes :
Neuer - Boateng Hummels Thiago - Kimmich Vidal Alaba - Robben Müller James - Lewandowski
Neuer- Boateng Vidal Hummels- Kimmich Martinez Alaba- Robben James Ribéry- Lewandowski

We initially wanted Vidal to complement Schweinsteiger, so why should Heynckes bench Thiago (who he called the biggest midfield talent alongside Kroos) to play Javi and Vidal?

Thiago doesn't have to be benched if he wants to play Javi...

So in your opinion it will be Thiago + Vidal or Thiago + Martinez in midfield ?

It's a possibility but he could also use Vidal and Martinez with Vidal in a Schweinsteiger role (Vidal evolved a lot since 2011 when Heynckes wanted him).

By the way you said yourself Jupp consider Thiago as the biggest talent after Kroos. Kroos played as #10 with Jupp.

So Vidal, Martinez + Thiago in midfield ?

Yeah, but that's just my opinion.
I don't think Thiago will be benched.

Martínez-Thiago-James would be the most balanced imo.

About James, I can imagine Jupp to use him as LW til Ribéry is out.

If Martinez and Müller can play at their best level I can imagine Thiago benched.

If not I don't see Thiago benched.

And I don't see Vidal benched at all.

However, there is a lot of possibility ... hard to say which one will be used the most.

That's totally the opposite for me.

But I hope we're both wrong.

I also believe if Müller can't get back on track with Heynckes he never will.

Wembley 2013 Champions League final and was one of the best player of the game.

Nope,it was in our last game - against Herta. Look at his stats, the only highlights are that he's made 3 tackles and he's with a rating of 6.7,while the most people lost they minds to talk how Tolisso was bad, while he has better stats in every aspect of the game with rating of 7.3.

Carlo tried him in our preseason friendlies as a CDM,i cannot remember which team was this against (Kickers Offenbach or Chemnitzer ?),and he started the game good in the first 20-25 minutes, but after that his playing was disastrous.

Don't get me wrong-i would absolutely love to have the Javi from 2013 and 14,but we have too much talent in the middle, and it's not the best thing to play a person who is playing as a CB from the end of 2014 in front of the players like Thiago,Tolisso,Vidal and even with in form Rudy.

Really guys, don't put pink glasses on everything.

I agree with IsiaRashiad but now there is Heynckes and that could change everything.

Let's hope so.The only one thing that is sure-Jupp should fix a lot of problems which have accumulated in recent years.
