The same way doesn't mean better... penalties have to do with luck. Muller got known to GKs... at some point they'll get to know Lewy better as well.

It doesn't matter if the run-up is the same. Until Müller learns to properly kick a ball from the spot his penalties will always suck. Lewandowski's penalties don't suck, so it doesn't matter whether they'll get to know him better.
Apart from that he's been taking our penalties for a while now and he's already taken penalties at Dortmund, so what? He's still scoring.

Do you feel the need to defend Müller on everything? Now you compare his shitty penalties to one of the most consistent penalty scorers in the league already just to cover up for his inabilty, lol.

And just before you start getting at me for not liking Müller, no, I'm only talking about his penalties.

You forgot who scored penalties regularly for us before... I'm telling you that he uses the same technique as Muller to take a PK, I paid attention.

So what? Messi used to score penalties for Barca, yet he's one of the crappiest penalty takers right now.
Lewandowski is taking great penalties while Müller is taking shit penalties at the moment.
What's your problem with that?

So what? I just said that he takes them the same way... and if you cared that much and analyzed how they take them, you'd know that.

I probably use the same technique to lace my boots as Lewandowski as well.

A totally different thing... there are different ways to take a penalty. And the last penalty I saw from Lewandowski, it was a copycat Muller PK.

Doesn't mean he takes them as well as he does.

You can say that after that miss against Atletico, something happened there... just like Robben stopped taking them.

Didn't he stop taking them after that?
He has missed a couple before that one already.

I'd like to see the stats, maybe he missed like 1 prior to Atletico.

I only found this.
http://www.sport1.de/fussball/dfb-pokal ... n-elfmeter

The miss against Augsburg in the cup last season was his 6th miss in a row.
I don't know if he even took one after that.

Mainz -> Zagreb -> Bochum -> Atletico -> Italy -> Augsburg.

I think you're thinking of the shootout against Dortmund last year, he missed one then after Atletico but I dont think he was first choice.
Also, he's had penalties saved before Atletico but not many and imo a save isnt necessarily bad, it depends. For example, the shot on Oblak, terrible penalty. But today for example, it was a decent pen and he got a little unlucky

Thanks... well, he stopped taking them for a reason. That's a tricky technique, needs perfect execution but it's one of the best. You can get confused if you watch the GK for too long. :P

Just way better I guess?

Alaba has proven to regularly miss and so did Müller.
Vidal and Robben are very good PK takers, one miss in the last 5 years doesn't change that.

1. Lewandowski
2. Vidal
3. Robben
4. James

Probably.

Starke 0 misses in his career. :coffee:
