Keeping the female gender I see

You need to tell us in what five consecutive matches Lahm stopped caring about the game. Not that I don't agree that Lahm may not have been effective in midfield, it just feels like you are making stuff up. Not that that hasn't lately been the norm.

I couldn't change it

Let's make a list

Pokal against Dortmund
Against Freiburg
Both Barca games
Against Mainz
Against Leverkusen
And the 16 minutes he played against Augsburg

Enough?

Yeah haha. Now I'm torn between watching 556 minutes of youth football featuring the likes of Rico Strieder and Lukas Görtler, or just agreeing with you and saying Lahm didn't care about Bundesliga games when we had already won the title :D

You're making a big deal about a few bad performances which came after a long injury? Give the guy at least a month after rest and recuperation before declaring him unable to go back to RB or whatever...

You asked for 5 matches in which he was invisible. I provided you with 7 matches in which he was invisible.

3 CL games + 1 Pokal game are not "after the league is won, no one cares" matches

You cannot expect the players to play with 10% in a BuLi match, than focus 100% on their next CL match

And once again: the guy is the captain

Anyway, whatever. If you think that's the right attitude, staying in middle of pitch and doing nothing, fine :D

P.S. And you know the funniest part? He had a very good game when he made his comeback (against Dortmund). He dropped off later

pep should consider one signing. A backup CF.

Everywhere else I think the team is more than fine (granted injuries do not arise last the past 2 seasons).

Not saying he wasn't invisible. Just saying I doubted that he didn't care. I have no doubt he probably stepped off the gas pedal, probably not to 10%, but probably enough so that he didn't hurt himself. I would expect the captain to be responsible enough to make sure he was fit for the important matches.

And I am thanking you for providing the matches ;) Just 500+ min is a long time, so it's probably easier for me to agree with you. The question is, what do you do with him if he's too slow and doesn't care?

According to Sport 1 Pep wants a 4-4-2 with a CF and a ST. Lahm and Alaba at fullbacks with Boateng and Benatia in the middle.

:)

Tbh if that is the case, we need another forward signing. And maybe a CM.

Isn't everyone else reporting that Alaba will be taking Schweinsteiger's spot in the midfield? I also really doubt that Götze will be played on the left wing again, especially now that we have Costa

Considering how Pep just recently said how much he missed JM and that FR7 will most likely miss 70% of the games again, I doubt it.
Lahm at RB makes sense though considering we didn't sign a RB and sold Weiser.

I like that formation... if Pep really goes for it then there would be  peace.

maybe Mueller on the wing and Goetze behind Lewa is better

DO we really need Alonso now since Thiago is fully fit?

I would much rather have JM starting and Gotze given the n10/cam role next season. I still have faith in Gotze being the player he was destined to be.

I don't mind a 442 but we're gonna need a couple more strikers for proper depth.

Good to know Pep doesn't have to feel your endless disgust towards him just because he plays 2-3 players in different positions.
