Won't go in details but with the squad we have and hopefully Hummels' arrival, if Carlo manages to create that balance that Pep failed to give us, balance between Defense and Offense then yes we will be unstoppable. Unstoppable as in "Better than Treble Bayern".

It's all about that balance. And I'm feeling very optimistic.

A lot of time, trust from the board and the last and most important - Golden generation 1992?

Well, I can't imagine such things in the last 10 years when there's no 8+3 rule anymore in the European countries(EUSSR members) and everything is about money.

It will take decades to beat Bayern from 2012/2013. Almost everything was perfect from A to Z, except that home defeat against Leverkusen.

Nah, we got to see Neuer playing LW that match, so it was pretty much perfect anyway

I agree completely. 3 painful CL campaigns, two of which were avoidable and one of which was heartbreakingly unfair, but *we will* benefit of the work he did for years to come.

I don't think it was "unfair"... Those games actually showed the outcome of the criticism people like me - among others - have been directing at him over and over again... He was striving for perfeection while advocating a style that can only bring success in the CL either through said perfection or through mistakes of the opponent/ref/ or mere luck...
I think his work is overrated... Versatility comes through versatile players... And what does versatility bring, when it doesn't get you to score a single goal in three years' away games? When actually and undoubtedy the best games were always those when players actually played where they belong...
If anything (we'll have to see though, only time will tell) we'll profit from our great players... And they were here all this time...
People have been complaining about Jupp on this very forum for losing that "home"final in 2012... Actually, those two were pretty much the same... No one said that was "unfair"... Winner's always "fair"... And I'd rather play sit and win the thing than listen to that "we were the better team" after most of the games when we didn't even score... ;)

What I do think will benefit us is that Carlo will probably bring more balance and -this is where Guardiola comes in: we will keep a lot of players that were here and that might be able to switch between systems and play "Guardiola-style" if neccessary...

I saw a post in the Griezmann thread that he only shines in a Counter Att team.
I replied that we do not know how we are going to play under CA.
If Lewa decides to leave (which I doubt)
This formation will be perfect for that.
Neuer
Lahm Boa Humm Alaba
Vidal Javi Thiago
Griezmann Mueller Costa

Alexis Sanchez is another alternative...

We are not going to play as a counter attacking team.
Opponents would still defend like Rollo defending Paris.
No one would touch the ball.
Ball possession would be 0% - 0% :P

Haha I didn't make it that far in the series. Stopped as they were on their way to France and until now haven't found the excuse to restart.
