Heynckes as a pure tactics Brain is very good but MUCH LESS Than Louis Van Gaal who is a genius

Heynckes is organizing defense is Great , but offensively , he is STILL OLD SCHOOL , HECK we use kroos as 10 , the last time football was played with 10s like this was 15 years ago , the new 10s are either second strikers a la Mueller or move a lot like Kagawa and Oezil

and this is why he won the champions league , Because That was how football was played and he was good at that style

Now Louis Van Gaal Revolutionized football but was a dictator , but THE TACTIC he wanted to show us here was amazing , i love the 4-4-2 diamond but what i love the most is passing football , but the players did not fit to his game and his personality did not make the player want to sacrifice what they know to play like that (Ribery as Example) , while players who actually fit to his tactics became World class in 1 year !!! (Schweinsteiger who was the heart and soul and everything LvG as a coach believes in , and also Mueller)

Because of his personality , Louis Van Gaal should not work as a Coach ,he should be more a players "teacher"

at his time with Barcelona , Ajax and Bayern HE MADE ALL HIS TEAMS know how to pass and possess ball and play under a specific scheme (even when we lost , it was clear that we were playing under specific tactics , while under Heynckes sometimes i get the feeling that no one iss in charge)

and even when he left the team , the following coaches had an easy job if they wanted to use passing in their tactics (heynckes now is taking advantage of LvG work here in terms of passing)

====
Coaches under 50 years wont work for bayern , coaches without international titles or at least CL Experience wont work here (the reason why i am against Lucien Favre for now even though i like his football)
I really was thinking about Rehhagel , but he is now Coach of Hertha !!!

I want a coach who makes a change ,no more 4-2-3-1 , no more our traditional football style

and Yes , now i see , IT WAS NOT LvG fault , it was The players fault

Ribery can pass and dribble , so why the hell did he refuse to paly as 10???

and when LvG decided to make his role a passer and gave the dribbler individualist Role to Robben , He lost fun and started his crap

ROBBERY Are supposed to complete each other NOT compete

With 2 individualist , we sucked , and one LOST his place (robben)

thing is robben can pass but cant play anything except the role of the dribbling egoist

while Ribery can be a typical passing playmaker

so the idea was to USE BOTH , something i only now managed to understand
=======================
I am not saying that i am a coach or nearly 10% as Heynckes

BUT it is time to change

1-Do we want to play offensive or defensive style of football ( i prefer defensive)

2-No more 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 because make me a coach of any BL team , and i can get a point against us right now unless a player of bayern uses his individual skills (3-4-3 or 4-4-2 Diamond are my favorites)

3-Players should Have Less influence and word in tactics ( i love the left side , i dont get enough passes , kroos is better as 10 ...) IT IS NOT YOUR DAMN BUSINESS , You get paid to win titles , so if i have to make rafinha a striker and Gomez a Center Back , and take away 20 euros from ribery Salary in order to win the CL , i will do that without any regrets

4-Difference between us when we had our TOP run and Current gladbach is one thing , WE WERE WINNING because the opponents did not know what we are doing , as soon as they had LEARNED our way , we became weak

Gladbachs style is obvious to everyone , dont let the opponents score , then run fast and score , then Defend and no need to attack

everyone knows that , but no one can effectively stop that , ADN THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO SEE

5-we dont Have 11 Starters, we have 13 starters : because CDMs/CMs and CFs/SSs/STs can have too different styles (like the differences between Tymoshchuk , Gustavo and Schweisnteiger style wise AND also Olic , Gomez and Podolski as example )

so we have another 2 players to rotate with depending on the opponent , so there are 13 Starters not 11 (And with Robberys injury , we will have 15 starters)

6-STARTERS ARE NOT BACK UPS for any other position , Example : Jerome Boateng is a CB , when our RB gets injured , WE DONT PUT HIM AS RB TO REPLACE THE INJURED ONE

Like Van Gaal said ( it seems that Louis and i actually think the same !!) : I WANT 2 PLAYERS For every position

7-many Said that the time of A the REAL Captain is over , and that there is no PYRAMID and that all players are same leading wise ... **** YOU , this is a myth , a football team is like an army , you need a leader in the field and a leader in the command center

no more pushovers as Captains (sorry Lahm , you might be one of the best FBs in history , but as a LEADER you are not qualified... THANK YOU)

Give Schweinsteiger the captaincy ... he is the one who screams , defends the palyers agaisnt the ref , talks to referee and kicks the a$$es of his teammates when they play like WOMEN

======
I am sick of seeing the SAME MOVES ,Plays and stuff

and our board is too good to our players , too good that they even got SPOILED (just like kids)

Bayern needs a change .... as SIMPLE AS THAT

I don't quite agree with all you said and certainly not with the same militancy, but you make some excellent points.

Hahahaha

Now on to the post itself. You make valid points, but I do not agree with everything. For example, I don't think there is any need to change the formation. The 4-2-3-1 allows us to switch between attacking and defending easily. The 3-4-3 is good at that too but I think that Bayern's players fit the 4-2-3-1 system better.

What we need to do is get the players to play more like a team again, improve our finishing and most of all improve our through passes into the box.

Two things which I think are worth a try are:
1) Putting Alaba as CAM.
2) Switching Schweini's and Kroos' roles once he returns. Which means:
-----Gustavo-Kroos------
Robben-Schweini-Ribery

Admittedly this would probably work much better in a 4-3-3. But I do think that unless Muller hits top form, we need to move Schweini closer to Gomez.

Why not try the 4-1-3-2 against 100% defense-committed teams? We do not need two CDM in such games, as the opponent will only run for counter-attacks, which usually requires the presence of 1 CDM and the tracking back of other players, so no need for the second. This formation will allow us to have 2 strikers inside the box and 3 three attack-minded players supporting them. This way the opponents' defense will not be allowed a second to breathe and will be on full alert the entire match. Use this formation, score a goal, and switch back to whatever slow possession-minded formation Jupp likes and strike again on counter-attacks.

I suggested that formation last year, and even had an "In favor of the 4-6-0 formation" in my signature for a while. Of course our players have changed since then but the front four I had suggested were the same. :)

I already suggested replacing Gomez with Robben in the starting lineup also and the writer agrees with me.

Do you just read my mind and wrote what i was thinking?

To resume : Whats is the point to use 2 CDMs against a crappy team like Freiburg? Just stick 2 strikers in the oponent box.

The problem against Freiburg wasn't that we didn't have enough strikers, it was that we didn't create enough chances. Just sticking Kroos to a deeper position should help, in the German 4-2-3-1/4-1-4-1 hybrid.

That is right, but the absence of an extra striker inside the box plus a sleepy Gomez is allowing the opposition backline to anticipate our passing easily, in addition to double marking and pressuring our wingmen, automatically leading to reduced space and less chances.

I love Gomez but he has one big flaw, and that is that in order to score goals he must play every game. His confidence suffers a lot if he is benched even for one game. Now I believe that Gomez is one of the world's best strikers, but the truth is that when he plays good he's incredible, but because of his style when he has an off-day he is useless and it is like we are playing with 10 players.

If only his confidence didn't suffer so much from being benched once in a while, we'd be able to do many different things. We could try different formations for certain games and include him as a super-sub, and we can start him in others. I think almost every player in Bayern's current squad has something different to offer (I think the only exception is Breno because even Pranjic has some good stuff) but we never use the different qualities our players have. We are not flexible at all.

+1. The guy has scored 50 goals in 2011. Any formation that leaves him out is just absurd.
