Very good point, makes sense. Never thought about it.

What are the rules regarding getting a red in a friendly in Germany, does it carry over to domestic games or will there be no additional suspension?

Maybe this is a sign that we should continue to buy from Karlsruher...
Neuer - Boateng, Martínez, Hummels - Kimmich, Thiago, Alaba - Bernardeschi, Müller, Coman - Lewandowski

To be fair, these friendlies before season restarts are relatively more important than the average friendlies because we have to pick our rhythm back up whereas the rest of Europe kept on playing football, but as envagyozakapad said it's not smart to go to Karlsruhe after a Qatar camp.

It'd make a lot more sense to have friendlies with other European teams in Qatar (if any) or do our camp in someplace like Florida where there was a small friendly cup. At the very least, perhaps it should've been played in Munich.

Ouch!!!.... the elephant in the room here is that Pep fielded a 1st team lineup and they failed miserably.
The question is...this is because:
Bayern didn't care, it's only a friendly/warmup?
....The team was tired and/or lazy because it didn't matter?
.....Or because Guardiola's pedestrian tactics are becoming so obvious that any team with an athletic, organized defensive approach can beat a far more expensive superior side?

To the first...could be true but why would there be such a great lineup to begin with if it didn't matter.
The second, why would they be so tired after a break and training that they couldn't beat a second tier side?
I think the 3rd possibility is, unfortunately, the truth. This was to be a demonstration of the overpowering ability of Pep's awesome tactics and it backfired because Pep's tactics are, let's face it, BORING. IMPOTENT. LACKING.
What is also sad is that it seemed to be embarrassingly transformed into a "let's try out the young talent" venture after the initial attempt had failed.
Kudos to Vidal....awesome goal!!
In...Müller, Lewadowski, Robben, Boateng, Badstuber, Ribery,Lahm, Costa, Kimmich, Coman, Thiago, Götze,Rode, NEUER,Alaba, MARTINEZ....do I TRUST!!

I had to go back and check; for a moment there I thought Gladbach was still the only team to beat Bayern this season. Damn we are running out of athletic organized teams. :P

Dortmund, Wolfsburg, and Leverkusen are such shit. It's so obvious how to beat us the Bundesliga lets us have first place out of pity.
