I like what I see of Green..even against City I remember Caballero saved some good attempts..he must stay..he can make it..But yes he needs to play as an out and out striker..Benko can be the backup winger..
I love Green's cold blooded finishing....

Loved our style of play...it reminds me of jupp era where we played direct football but knew how to keep possession...plus ribery is back and I am taking top 3 player back...alot of people gave up on him and say he should retire but with him at his best we are up a level...another player who I think as up there game is thiago finakky seeing the true him he showed glimpse from time to time but I believe since he got a injury free season he startto improve...cause if he continously plays like how he has we got a top ten and who to say top10...from this game I get the feeling carlo is using him or developing himin veratti which is evident in how he played ...green can be a back up for sure he works hard you never know....javi looks solid in centerback...love what I am seeing so far cant wait to see how our other players adapt and develop under Carlo..though I think our players will thrive creatively under Carlo as they are playing with more freedom....but I know its too early to say but that all I see so far.

Impressive outing. Green has a strikers instinct it seems, and maybe he will prove us wrong when we say we need another player. Anyone else notice how much quicker and freer Thiago looks now, when he does not have to worry about losing possession too much? Idk, his passes look crisp and quick, like the rest of Bayerns play

I fell asleep in the last ten mins and missed Icardi's goal but overall in the second half we just played for the sake of if.

Myself, always the direct football helps the "impatient" players such as Thiago(Robbery too) to blossom because of their football character.
Thiago wants to advance the ball either with risky vertical passes by his vision or carry the ball into the opponents box, tiki taka is a football of patience and Thiago isn't that kind of player, just think of Ronaldinho into Pep Barca. Just doesn't fit... same goes for Thiago IMO.

Thiago got the role of Kroos into a Pep team, Guardiola obvsiouly knows better but I think his tactics wasn't in favor of Thiago, now with Ancelotti's vertical football approach, playing the ball quickly on the transition Thiago will benefit because of his technique and vision. He is not a player that can give a tempo like a metronome such as Xavi or Kroos, he is more a versatile #10 with characteristics of Ronaldinho, the new style of Carlo will benefit Thiago, I'm certain of that.

Thiago was very impressive in both games vs the Milan teams but the level of quality in these friendlies so far is too low to say that Thiago is playing better. There are very few players better than Thiago in his position, he was just massively underrated by many here. In his first season for us he played very well and his injury marked our downfall. He needs an injury-free season more than he needs Ancelotti in my opinion. May he keep up these performances vs better teams.

It is way too early to say that Green will make a good backup considering what we've seen from him in the past. At this point in time I'm still worried about heading into the season with the current forwards. We have another month left to make a decision...

I agree that it is risky for Bayern to put all their trust in Green, hopefully it works out. While I do agree that friendlies are friendlies, I also strongly believe Thiago will be even better this season with this team and this coach.

Nice comments from Ancelotti regarding Thiago. He said something like he's not yet 100% fit, he has the entire season to be, but for such a player you don't need to be top fit 'cause he's got so many qualities. Sorry Coman, I guess I just ruined the season for ya. Bummer. :P
