that first half felt really good... as others have said, everyone played really well for the first 45.

Tolisso: i'm telling you, he will be the best Bayern MF this season
Sanches: the boy played with confidence and he genuinely did well next to Coco. He's not mature enough yet to run the midfield (although he didn't do poorly in the 2nd half), but i am surprised at his quality in the first half. he was calm and made good choices... that's what we need from him
James: he's starting to show his skill, and he's everywhere... as he becomes more integrated, i hope his creativity fixes the occassional disconnect between midfield and the final third
Müller: =D>
Friedl: really well done...
Ribery: still has it (but DON'T overuse him Carlo)
Lewa: as always, his hold up play is a joy
CBs: solid
Coman: 2 fast 2 furious 8)

Lewa though... i'm starting to think he's really unhappy at Bayern. He's showing way too much negative emotion towards his teammates on the field, and that's a problem...

it's quite normal for a striker when he doesn't score.

l hope we only loan Sanches to a BL team, where he can be a starter.

Friedl did well, btw.

Well, James is yet to get a grip on our play properly, but getting in plenty of good positions and pulling off some impressive passes. Just missing the final ball. But Tolisso? I thought he was amazing today.

I understand if that's generally speaking and I wouldn't straight up bench Thiago or Vidal based on pre-season games either, but if you're reflecting on todays performances, I thought they bought were great, Tolisso more than great.

Kicker always does Kicker. Spreads lies and tries to create unrest Bayern. don't care about their lies much.

Come on, his body language is awful, this is his last season in Bayern if no CL trophy.

sell Vidal and keep Sanchez, Vidal is not young and too aggressive for red card. I don't like his attitude, just easily to get carded. Maybe wait till next year when he's 31.

You don't want 2 of our best 3 players in preseason (Müller being the other) to start?

Didn't watch today's match but from a match report and from the other matches I watched it seems to me like no other player missed as many chances as James since his debut. And don't tell me he needs to integrate because integration won't make you shoot on target or kick the ball stronger or place it any better.

you should rewatch. James was genuinely very good - one of the best players on the pitch. he had a number of good chances, but it really came down to luck... just didn't quite have the luck for finishing today

Against Arsenal his finishing was hideous. Truly hoping he finds his scoring touch. It's been a long time since we had a central player scoring regularly, probably last one was Ballack.

He's yet to score but they'll come eventually. So far his presence on the pitch is noticeable. Obviously I hope he starts scoring as well because you're right regarding central players but if he can create great chances for Lewa and Muller/Robben it's good enough. They need to find their scoring touch much more desperately than he does (to be fair Muller is scoring quite a lot this preseason which is why I consider him among our best, but he was lacking vs Milan from what I read).

Götze used to score a lot and he wasn't more than solid/decent for us.

You are being really unfair with James since we signed him. I don't know what do you have against him, but I can tell you he will prove you wrong. And he will mostly score more goals than Gomez, even though he won't play ST

MUTU the kind of guy who thinks finishing is the only part of a player's performance. Except when he really likes the player obviously.
