I just saw that. I was away from the computer most of the day and didn't check the phone for updates. Oh well, maybe next time. I'm pretty sure they'll be back here next year...

I expect 4-2-3-1 and 3-4-2-1 in 2014-2015.

Every player had a moment in which they showed of what they're made of in this match. I'm happy from what I've seen, it needs some adjustments but it's looking good.
And I like what Pep said before the match that they're not for fun in the US, and that Bayern is a club that cannot afford any excuses. He said that we are Bayern Munich and excuses are not part of Bayern, but with some different order of words, I can't remember it word by word, but that's basically what he meant. I appreciate that approach even in friendlies.

I know it means nothing, but I'd like to start seeing some bigger wins in these friendlies. 8)

Bayern fans were totally quiet except when clapping and there was a section for the Bayern fanclub which were chanting the entire time which was great. Chivas fans were very loud, but only had 1 chant lol. Lewy was getting murdered out there and seemed uninterested. Hojbjerg was kinda disappointing. Ribery was great except on the pass to Shaq on the 2 vs 1 where it should have been quicker. Good game, wish there were more goals. Gaudino was a beast btw

Sorry ?

Well, he lost the ball a bunch of times and his passes seemed a bit off. I'm not saying that everyone else was perfect in this aspect, but Hojbjerg stood out to me the most.

It not about the score, it's about the win in general and how they play. Don't forget they had a long flight, almost no sleep, training immediatly after arriving.

I know, that's why I said it doesn't really matter. But we are used to big wins in pre-season, I guess. 8)

Yeah well i guess Hoffenheim thinks that way aswell :P They had big scores so far this pre-season, but not any real competition. And i think in the long haul that can be fatal, because the mindset is different i think. So i am glad Bayern had some less friendly's this pre-season compared to other years, but a bit more quality opponents, so they get tested immediatly. Duisburg, Gladbach, Wolfsburg, Guadalajara, MLS all stars and then Dortmund.

In 2010 they pre-seasoned with Madrid, in 2011 it was Barza, in 2012 it was Napoli and for Christ's sake i can't remember who it was in 2013. They lost against all these games. I think I have 2012/13 switched.

FCB's Spanish imports have taken a few games to get adjusted before hitting the soft-spot. Based on that, the comment is right on target.

That was it! Yes, Lahm's header and someone else's goals vs Barza's B-team.

In 2011, however, Thiago beat the shit out of Bayern 2-0. Usami giving Bayern about the only decent chance to score.

Expecting from a Bayern almost B-team to win 5-0 or so, then I know the bar has been raised too high.
It's a good thing that we're not conceding any goals, except by penalties, a defense with no natural CBs is doing the job.
