I don't know what some people expect the first serious test of the preseason to look like? Anyone remember the one from last year against Napoli? Didn't look much better, and Alaba broke his foot to boot.

I'll take the one from today. Julian Green looked great. Højbjerg looked great. The established players looked good, given they were approaching it kind of slowly. Everything is fine, and even if we change up our system a bit this year. The sky will not be falling, guys.

I completely agree! In my opinion friendly matches are mostly used to asses the quality if the youth players brought to train with the team. I dont expect to guage a whole season from friendly matches or else i would think Bayern would win most of their matches by double digit goals.

P.S Julian Green has been known to play as a "false 9" with the U19s, so thats something to look at ;)

Besides, 3-0 is considered a big win by every team in Europe except for Bayern. For us it is an average result. :P

To be honest i was expected a bigger scoreline and was a bit disappointed with just 3-0 ;)

So was I, I mentioned it earlier. ;)

Really, a 1-0 win is bad game for Bayern and a 2-0 is below average these days. :P

Success has spoiled us and you can tell from the predictions we all made, the opponent had to be good for anyone to make less than a 2 goal win for Bayern :)

Pep's reaction to Bayern's 3 - 0 victory over Brescia

"It was our first test against a respectable team. I knew it wouldn't be easy at the beginning of the match. We worked really hard in these first 10, 11, 12 days that we've now been together. Fortunately there have not been any injuries (during the training camp). Of course we still make some mistakes, which is completely normal. The system (that we play) isn't the most important, we still need more time (to make it better). In a few days we'll return to Munich and then we'll face off against stronger opponents (BVB, Barcelona, Manchester City, Sao Paulo and AC Milan).

Is it too early to judge the team by this performance?
Because I'm not impressed

It's still too early.

So tell me... what were you really expecting? A 25-0 score?

Keep in mind that this is just a friendly with lot of rotations, substitutions and young players adapting to the team. This was no official match. We are still in July and our players are far from their best form...

Last season we played a similar match against Napoli and we managed to lose 3-2 if I'm not mistaken. I guess you weren't also impressed back then

Sorry but I hate this kind of comment

And one needs to remember we were playing with a number of reserve players (who are in playing in Germany's fourth division) whereas Brescia are in Italy's second division.
