You gotta be kidding me that guy would never get near the Brazilian NT, he doesn even play regularly for Bayern. I think you are either underestimating the Brazilian squad or you dont know much about football.......:P

Still more than Dante, and Rafinha had plenty of appearances at youth level too.

They were not called up, and Brazil NT is stacked with a lot of talent so im not suprised that Dante and Gustavo arent called up. Gustavo especially since he doesnt fit that textbook brazilians mold and Dante since Silva, Alex, and Lucio are in front of him and those are some world class CBs...

Trust me, by the end of this season both will be regulars for their NT. Plus, the only way Brazil will have a chance of winning something is if they had someone like Gustavo in their squad. Having eleven offensive-minded players/dribblers on the field will bring an embarrassment rather than the "Brazilian Flare" as some like to call it. Also, if Dante maintains his current form, his only competitor would be Silva. Lucio and Alex are old-timers and there is very little chance they'll be ahead of Dante come WC2014.

Don't forget David Luiz, but we're getting off-topic.

Exactly David Luiz is Brazils usual starter and for Gustvo he might make the NT but probs on the bench. Brazil have a unique style o play and have been playing and succeeding that way for many years. Sadly Gustavo doesnt play the typical Brazilian way which has hindered his chances to get on the team. Even CBs like Silva, Lucio, and Luiz show more flare than him on the pitch, but imo Gustavo is a great player

CURRENTLY, he is. That's because Dante was playing for the relatively low-profile Gladbach (as per a Brazilian point of view, of course). Now that he's at Bayern, and performing the way he is now, he WILL be called for the NT. By the time of the WC, Dante would be in his 31st year, the perfect age for a defender to lead the back line of his country. That's maybe my own opinion, but I am certain that Dante will put that crack-head Luiz aside if he maintains his form.

By many years, you mean 10 years ago and before. Today's football is not about having 11 Messis or Neymars (a VERY over-rated lad, but that's for another discussion) who can each dribble past the entire opposition team, playing 1-2s and shit, and ending the move with an air volley shot. There is no such thing as "flare" anymore. It's just a propaganda for those who don't understand football. To win, you need BALANCE in your team. Ask Jupp and he'll tell you. Bring the current Brazilian team with all their attacking powers front side and back side, and put them against 1) a strong midfield 2) a good counter-attacking team, and they're destined for an early exit.

Now, enough with Brazil.

Back to topic, anyone found any links for the game? I hate the international break! Just give automatic qualifications for Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, etc. and give the a play-off game for England, France, Portugal and get on with it :P Same old scenario.
