Dr. Rode... What a warrior... Kahn, Matthäus, Effenberg, Basler, Jeremies, van Bommel, Kuffour - all of them would be proud of him! Bleeding knees. My boy! =D>

Too bad Hojbjerg's long distance shot didnt go in. I think he is ready to start ahead of Alonso. The learning curve will be steep for him, but I'm sure he'll do well

I'll repeat it again once more - I really adoreD Alonso during his career at Real Sociedad and Liverpool. I always dreamed about him to see in the successful red team(unlike Liverpool), but back then it wasn't possible. This Alonso in 2015 is real tragedy no matter how much I respect him, his great class, but for him game has been over once almost all Bayern players are healthy, including youngsters like Hojbjerg and Kimmich.

But we are facing with a nepotism for the last 8 months and it's something what drives people crazy. You simply can't do such thing to guys like Rode, Hojbjerg and Kimmich. From now on, game over. I'll remember Alonso only in his best days and displays, demonstration of great talent, intelligence, etc. =D> - but all before 1.1.2015.

It is not hate for Xabi. I just said we dont need him  We have guys on bench who are better or can be better. Kimmich or PEH and Rode, they all can be our new Basti or Kroos. Not Alonso who is old and after few season leave us/or retire. Pep should realize that Alonso was (I think) mend for injury players in fall 2014 or spring 2015.
Alonso WAS great, maybe world class but now he is not Bayern material.

That made me laugh

Thoughts:

Alonso - I'm sorry dude, but your time is done. I PRAY Pep realizes this once the season starts. Bayern's pace is so damn slow when he's in - it's not only him, but the whole team. That causes a lot of problems. As soon as he was out, Bayern picked up the pace again and looked much more threatening. Pep has to see that, right?
Hojbjerg - he actually did a good job in that deep role today. Wouldn't mind seeing him and Kimmich fight for the spot.
Costa - What more can be said? The guy deserved to score with that late shot, a real shame it didn't sneak in. He's been MOTM for every game he's played so far.
Lewa - gotta make those tap ins, but he did a good job with his goal.
Alaba - finally ready to say it: he is wasted in the RB position, and he needs to play always in the midfield. The guy is incredible.

My boss - why the hell did you need to walk in during the last 15 minutes and make me miss the end of the match?? :'(

As I type this Bayern have still not given a reason for Robben not even being on the bench. When he scored on Saturday Pep did not look at him afterwards. He was on the bench for the first Audi Cup game but not today. Is this a political situation between him and Pep? Is it a health issue? In several interviews he expressed surprise that he played so long on Saturday, that every time there was a substitution he had expected it to be him-and it was not.

Where is Robben?

I sincerely hope that my concern is unfounded.

Calm down man, Javi and Thiago weren't on the bench either. Pep despises getting injuries in friendlies, and I'm sure Robben is at the top of the list of players he doesn't want injured.

I love that bigdrop has turned his concern almost into a hashtag. #whereisrobben?

Robben didn't play just so that Real Madrid fans cannot cry like little bitches about Ronaldo not being available and Bale on the bench, because we can tell them Ribéry was not available and Robben was not even on the bench.

Very enjoyable match tonight. I like the collective high pressing and the quick pace of the passing today by the boys. It caused Real Madrid a lot of trouble. They need to do that against the big teams in order to get a result because I think sometimes Bayern feel they have so much quality they don't need to put in as much work as the opposition in the Bundesliga and that is the wrong mindset to have. It's fine to ease off the gas against teams down the table but against the likes of Wolfsburg, Dortmund, and Leverkusen it won't work. Also, there were many chances created today which is a stat I like the most. 70% possession doesn't mean squat if you're constantly in the midfield. I'm glad that today Bayern held possession but actually made good use of the time they had with the ball to disturb Real's rhythm. The team was fast and unpredictable and distributed in all areas of the pitch and didn't focus on one flank or through the middle and caused Real to keep guessing.
