Atleast he was close to his man, Hummels was no where near.

Yes, because Felix **** up the offside line and it was almost impossible to stop the goal.

Innocent "racist" joke:

Spoiler: show
Quite surprised the aspect ratio of the transmission is 16:10, would have expected it to be closer to 16:4 or something

Gotze is kid, Hummels is veteran with terrible pre-season.

Not too worried about defensive mistakes, bc most of our backline is still on holiday or injured. Our attack on the other hand....my God...we've had a full season of no ideas and individual brilliance. I am not here for another full season of that shit.

We make things difficult for ourselves. Even when in good central positions for some reason we still switch the play to the wings and do some stupid move to then finally cross straight to an opposing central defender. I think i'm finally on board with some of the users saying we need to switch to a 4-3-2-1 formation with the full backs providing the width.

Or sign Alexis.

I'm still confused with our tactics

I like 4-2-3-1 and I was hoping to play like that this year, but after signing Tolisso and James and offloading Costa (and Gnabry) I was convinced that our tactics were going to change to a less dependant on the wings style

But now we seem to be playing 4-2-3-1 again :?: :!:

I'm happy with our transfers this season, but if we are planning to play 4-2-3-1 then I can't see any logic. We were missing a replacement for both Robben and Ribery and we haven't signed any. In fact we just sold a potential Robbery succesor.

I'm really confused now.

To be fair the opponents have been decent at shutting down the middle. Really hoping the following training sessions will include solving this, we're perfectly capable of doing it.

I think we have too many midfielders, so a switch to 3-6-1 to add more midfielders and use 3 strong DC at the back like Loew did in Confed Cup is nice move.

------------Levy

------James(1) ----Robben(2)

---Ribery--Thiago-Vidal------Kimmich

-------Hummels---Martinez---Boateng

1 and 2 will give both James and Robben more freedom on both wings and center.
If we need to push the opponents more, then Carlos can safely replace Kimmich by either Tolisso or Mueller into the (2) and pull robben on the right wing.

In any formation, squad rotation is a must for a big squad like this. We could easily have Alaba to play in Ribbery position as well.

In the remote circumstance that a formation like that might be considered by Carlo, it should be Alaba playing LW and not Ribery

Well, earlier this month we was talking that Renato is 19 yo and we should judge him as an adult and from the other side-Felix is also 19 yo. We should judge him as an adult as well.
Don't make double standards.

Since first Mainz game last season, we are playing with 4-2-3-1 and we will continue with it.

Carlo already said he would rotate James between RW, LW and trequartista.
