The problem is that you have to win the league outright and then win another two-legged tie against a champion of another Regionalliga for the promotional playoffs.

Promotion from the Regionalliga into the 3. Liga is just about the toughest promotion to accomplish in the German football pyramid.

Wuff! I though it was something like the BL :P

Greuther Fuerth-II 0:3 FCB-II
just like the senior sides!

goals were scored by Schoepf, Strieder, and Schweinsteiger

FCB-II are now in the 3rd place.... 6 points behind Illertissen and 3 behind 2nd place Seligenporten.... Had we won our direct game vs. Illertissen, we would have had the same points as both of them by now...

Im liking these results, its a much better improvement from last year where they were stuck at the bottom half of the table :D

Starting line-up was this:

Jennings came on for Højbjerg (74')
Schmitz came on for Can (74')
Jelisic came on for Schweinsteiger (82')

To note that Schmitz seems to have been promoted from the U19s. Emre Can didn't play a full match so he may play tomorrow. Weiser and Weihrauch didn't play at all.

FCB-II's next match is on Saturday... they might have been saved for that match....

And it's a shame that we've not seen Derflinger for a while.... he probably is injured.... but there is nothing on TM :(

Also according to Bayern's official website, 17 y.o. Nikola Jelisic has played in this match as a substitute... which would probably mean it's also his debut in this match...

Also 18 y.o. Austrian left back Ylli Sallahi from our u19 team was sitting on the bench in this match...

Question is, where are all our other FCB-II players???... Are they all injured or suspended?!!

Bayern Munich II have a busy schedule with games every 3-4 days so I doubt they want to tire themselves out when they need to be focusing on getting promoted to 3.Liga. On the other hand the U19s are like on a mini break so thats why they are playing...

I don't think sitting on the bench would somehow tire anyone, would it?!!

I know the u19 had a break because of the youth international matches... but that doesn't explain why other FCB-II players aren't on the bench, does it?

BM II is playing TSV 1896 Rain am Lech away right now.

What a fun name.

Also we're a goal up now.

Ok, so that's very good. Let's hope the scores remain so (or even better).
