What striker problems exactly? Also, Bayern are not a club that loans players. In fact I only ever remember us loaning one player, Takashi Usami. And he had a clause that allowed us to buy him for a fixed price at any time, so it wasn't a traditional loan anyway.

The USAen as well. :P

Any promising young strikers would be very welcome. Although Fergie's gone I like to think we still have a good relationship with United with Steve Bruce as our manager

Er sorry we're on about our respective British teams that we support. Hull City in my case. In an alternate universe perhaps Hull and Bayern are batting to sign the same players!

Sorry for the confusion

Arsenal winning it wouldn't be bad I agree, but I just can't see it. They have looked very tired in their last few games and it's going to get worse in Feb/March. The moment one player returns from injury, another one gets injured which really doesn't leave a lot of room for rotation. Wenger should buy in January but I really doubt he will. Can't see beyond City winning it personally, unless something extraordinary happens. I'm not counting Chelsea at the moment as they are looking awful.

Wow! 6-0 to the Tigers! Can't remember the last time we scored more than 3 in a game our rise up the leagues has always been built upon solid defence and catching teams on the break but maybe this is the start of a new era of attacking football. In all seriousness though only one of our goals was scored by a striker (a tap in from who has hardly played all season and hasn't set the world alight since he signed three seasons ago) So you'd still say we need reinforcements up front. Our midfielders won't score five every week!

So Chelsea won and Liverpool fell down to 5th place. Manchester United and Tottenham are hot on their heels now, both two points behind. It's not unimaginable that Liverpool could end up in an all-too-familiar 7th place pretty soon. Luckily for them, Man Utd and Tottenham play each other next matchday (1st Jan).
