Yep.

But even then, they need to maintain the investment, and in comparison to Chelsea and Arsenal they are still behind them in commercial terms too.

Tottenham will never be a big club they will always be that club that never could, almost like another version of Leverkusen but they are lucky to have all that TV money they EPL has. Also Bale's contract expires in 3 years if they dont get any UCL football he will definitely leave next year and team(s)(Real Madrid  ) will have a little more room to negotiate.....

Arsenal will be top 4 surprised how few believe they wont they have stability which most the top clubs dont with new managers and styles coming in. Dont know why people think chelsea will instantly succeed under mourinho they have an aging defense which is worse by the year and mourinho had a bad time of it in spain.

I still hope arsenal spend well and Neville could have a point.

I think they're not going to dethrone City this season, but they might sneak to third at the expense of either Chelski or United, sure. And in the long-term, with Tottenham losing Bale (very likely) and Liverpool just not up to scratch, they've got their top 4 finishes quite assured.

Do you give AVB any chance this year?

Not expecting anything more than last season. They might make it into the top 4 but it will be hard. It depends on whether someone like Arsenal and United seals the third spot early or not.

Liverpool have a chance if they keep Suarez.

I'm watching the Barclays Asia Cup, being played in Hong Kong.

Spurs are Playing South China in the 3rd place playoff.

This pitch is the worst I've seen in a modern stadia (well nearly as bad as the San Siro)!

Someone has to tell me how a midtable club like Spurs would reject €100m!!!
Tottenham apparently refused a 100M offer for Bale, and claimed they felt "humilliated" by the fact that Madrid wanted to buy their best player after having bought Modric last season. They are now asking for 145M. And here I sit, laughing my ass off at this "who's the dumber rich person" contest between Florentino and Levy, and feeling very sad about the future of football transfers.
