In my opinion Hart is the same. I mean, he's not world class but he's good. Not much worse (if not better) than Valdes.

IMO
Valdes was not a bad keeper.
Much better than Jo Jo

Hart will be Buffon's succesor at Juve, I've heard it all :') You should go to their forums and tell them, it would be extremely funny.

City have no soul, kicked out their legend like that...

He's the third most expensive German player ever...

Now, here's how I see it. English media and fans alike really hype and overrate their players, especially English ones.
I'm not saying Joe Hart is a bad keeper, because he isn't. It's just that people who have not been subjected to the English hype machine don't consider him so special.

I won't forget how English media and fans didn't want Owen Hargreaves in the English squad, since he didn't play in the great Premier League, so he couldn't possibly have been any good, right? The criticism got so bad that even the Prime Minister felt he needed to defend Owen. When the tournament was over, the media made a U-turn and named him as the best player in the tournament. Because, by then, he was one of them. And Englishmen really, really like to value their own.

Now that Joe Hart has made it to Torino (I didn't understand how you said he'd be Buffon's successor when he'll be playing for their city rivals), he'll likely have a hard time making it into the English national team, which by the way has struggled to have a decent keeper since David Seaman hung up his boots (I was going to go for Gordon Banks but I didn't want to sound so harsh).

The thing is with the English media is that they will hype you at a very young age and once you go through any type of dip in form, they will leave you out to dry. There's no real patience at all with younger players which is why so many fail. I also agree that this idea that English players must play in England in ridiculous and leads to a playing style that is one-dimesional. German players are all over the world as are Spanish and Italians.

Now, in regards to Hart, he is a top keeper. I've watched him be our number 1 for 6 seasons now and, all in all, he's been an amazing servant to the club. People love to highlight his mistakes (which is apparent in every keeper) but few will highlight how important he's been for us. These are some of the saves he's made just last season.

I wish him the best in Turin but I think you will all realise that it wasn't English hype that made him look good but his actual abilities. Buffon rates him really highly so I see Juve taking notice of his performances for Torino.

Buffon plans to be in the 2018 WC... good luck with that.

Hart is an excellent shot-stopper, I'm not going to deny that at all - too bad that that's no where near enough to be a Pep Guardiola goalkeeper. You wanted him, you get him, he brings footballing ideas that England hasn't even smelled before - you just have to be prepared to pay certain prices like this one.

Tying in to my previous point about Valdes, putting him at the same level of Hart at a traditional goalkeeper standpoint is fair enough, but Valdes is/was far more complete. His viral stupid mistakes certainly didn't cost Barca any titles In Pep's reign. Playing a keeper of Hart's footballing ability in a Pep system is suicide.

Lol at Chelski getting back David Luis. And double Lol at PSG taking a loss in the process (I assume, cause I doubt they will get more than 50m).
