No, he means Yaya. When he was sold from Barca.

Well, to be fair, he was kinda average last season and I for one thought he was on the decline after his super 2011-12 one.

Finally having a decent partner in central midfield might have something to do with Yaya's return to form.

Ah... sorry. Well Barca doesn't really have a great track record in the transfer window.

I'd say they've a very very poor transfer record when it comes to first team transfers.
They have paid obscene amounts of transfer money more often than one would think. :|

In general Manchester City might have overpaid for their transfers but Negredo, Navas and Fernandinho seem like spot on improvements for this Manchester City team. On top of that Samir Nasri is like a new signing since Pellegrini took over as manager.

The only transfer that doesn't seem to make much sense is Jovetic. His best position is the SS behind Negredo / Dzeko and there's no way he's better than Aguero or Silva.

And they aren't paying that many over the top wages. Jovetic, Negredo, Fernandinho are all around 100-120k which is logical.
Who'd have thought that even ManC wanted to reduce their wage bill this summer.

Yes, Txiki was a key transfer to start with, wasn't he?

Yeah, I haven't even seen him play. City has really strengthen their squad, except their CB supply is thin, and with Pellegrini at the helm, I'll give them time to adjust fully and we will see more performances like what they did in the derby.

Bayern will have to keep any eye on their counter attacks because it was really smooth and solid against United.

Moyes has warned MU fans that there could be more setbacks. [source]

Basically, he's prepared an excuse before going into the Capital Cup match and losing to Liverpool.

I would like our Nostradames (redundancy I know) to predict that scoreline. Liv'pool vs Utd. I'll bet there will be plenty of surprises this time around.

I'm hoping for Liverpool to do well again against United but without Coutinho, the midfield looks really different. We'll see if Hannibal will Rise after his "imprisonment"v

Liverpool will win tonight. Suarez to shine! :P United without RvP aren't much of a threat and look horrible. Anything can happen at OT though.

Is RVP still out for the game later? I thought his injury was minor?
