You'"d"? So... Under which circumstances? Better at what? Cleaning out the garage? Taking out the trash? Autographs? Healing? Not soccer, that's for sure... ;)

Really good transfer for them and a cheap alternative to Lacezette. West Ham is rising up the ranks and will probably end up top 6-8 next season at the minimun.

Sure hope so, West Ham is the only English team I like and Feghouli is looking like a solid transfer on a free.

When I read such comments I become as proud as a peacock....
My Maltese tm defeated them in the Europa league... They eventually defeated us by penalties...

Maybe a couple of years ago but definitely not after the Hummels transfer. :)

I'd say Kompany is better than Hummels.

I'd say you're using too much drugs ;)

Kompany = Van Buyten... even if Van Buyten had a good game against Barca, Idk about Kompany if he ever did. :P

I rate Hummels, he's a top defender. However, Kompany edges it for me. It may be due to sentimental reasons but a fit Kompany is top 5 CB's in the world.

Maybe so, but a fit Hummels is a top 2 defender.

AS a pure defender, Hummels is definitely not top 2.

As an overall player vs other cbs, he is highly regarded... Hummels to me is the german version of David Luiz and Pique. Very technical and very good going forward. However, both have mental lapses. However, Luiz is faster/quicker, while hummels is probably stronger. All would excel in possession based teams and would contribute quite a lot going forward.

It's weird how you germans criticize south american fullbacks for being too offensive, but not strong defensive, however, hummels essentially is a better offensive player than a pure defender.

Just because Hummels is strong in the air and able to score from headers during corner kicks doesn't mean he isn't defensively strong. For me, defensively, when on top of their game, Boateng and Hummels are the top two defenders in the world. Maybe I'm biased, but that's my opinion.

I agree. And don't get me wrong, I like Kompany a lot and would have gladly bought him two months ago. But now he would not be our first choice unless we play with 3 at the back (once Lahm retires and Alaba move to midfield? :P ).

Kompany would be an asset to any team..However since I follow City regularly I can say that he won't start ahead of hummels or boateng but definitely he's one of top 5 CBs if fully fit..
comparing yaya toure and vidal at their prime ..it's debatable..both have almost similar roles and both contribute a lot..
In my opinion City need a new GK,at least 1 more WC CB,1 RB,Kolarov is good enough for EPL but not CL..so a new LB..

They are pretty well off in attack though..Aguero and a very very promising Iheanacho..and De Bruyne and Silva to create..

BTW its nice to see a city fan here..If you grow up in India you can't help but dislike ManUtd and hence have a soft spot for City..

I mean tell me if someone comes and tells you he's been ManUtd fan for 10 years and doesn't know who carrick is or tells that beckham was a striker or can't name more than 6-7 players in the team and then comes and shouts that they have won the league 20 times..what can you do..I am exaggerating a bit but 90% is true YES REALLY..and these are not 1 or 2 persons ..these lunatics are spread out throughout the country and I really know 10-15 of them..if you want proof go to redcafe and see what most indian users post there..it has stopped for past 2-3 years a bit but still go and see..
I can't describe the joy I felt when aguero scored THAT goal..they were already celebrating the league those lunatics..

This isn't 2012-13.

Kompany nor Hummels is a top 5 cb in the world.
