Jose Mourinho Set To Be Next Man Utd Manager [source]

Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes is due to fly to England from China on Tuesday to negotiate a deal.

Manchester United have declined to comment.

The 51-year-old Portuguese has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea last November after overseeing the Blues' worst start to a Premier League campaign. Mourinho, a three-time Premier League title winner with Chelsea, will inherit a United side that secured FA Cup success on Saturday by defeating Crystal Palace 2-1 after extra-time at Wembley.

The victory over Palace also saw United claim their first piece of silverware since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, but their triumph at the national stadium looks set to be Van Gaal's last in charge.

Van Gaal also refused to comment on his future following the win over Palace, saying: "I show you the cup. I don't discuss (my future) with the media."Van Gaal has previously insisted that he would see out the last year of his contract, despite his side failing to secure a top four spot and Champions League football for next season.

The 64-year-old has invested over £250m on new players during his two-year reign at Old Trafford, but a fifth-place finish means United will play in the Europa League during the 2016-17 campaign.

United vs City in the transfer market...

Jose will probably sell half of the UNited team as Pep will do City... Money spent this summer by them would probably be 1a and 1b for this summer's transfer market.

From Wikipedia:

"An exhibition game (also known as a friendly, a scrimmage, a demonstration, a preseason game, a warmup match, or a preparation match, depending at least in part on the sport) is a sporting event whose prize money and impact on the player's or the team's rankings is either zero or otherwise greatly reduced."

So yeah, pretty sure it was a friendly!

Pretty silly to call a game in which one side has nothing to play for anything other than a friendly, really.

The stadium was half empty like in a friendly, 2-3 fans that were present for the game were crying like "why always us against Bayern"... and it wasn't in Audi Cup cause the host there has always a full stadium. :P
Neuer - Boateng, Martínez, Hummels - Kimmich, Thiago, Alaba - Bernardeschi, Müller, Coman - Lewandowski

I also remember the year before that when we won 3-2 again. We were literally a goal away from topping the group but somehow Pellegrini didn't know that and didn't attack!

Yes, that's why City supporters started crying for having to play Bayern every year... and a petition with the signatures of 3 City supporters was sent to UEFA threatening with boycott... :P

I never heard of that one haha.

I wanted to play you guys in the semi finals, it would be a crazy and exciting match up like it's been in the past few years.

I remember that game because City booed the CL anthem... you made it far this season because you didn't have Bayern in your group, just as I thought that it would happen.
