Do you think he can be available for selection, come next Fri?
This means Mata is ready with his luggage! Destination ... :?:

Willian has not travelled with the team to Prague.

Makes sense, and even their new recruit Eto'o

Good deal by Chelsea to bring in Eto'o. As Mourinho said himself couple of days ago, he has four kids in attack - De Bruyne, Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle. He needed a player like Eto'o to add some experience to the squad.

A rental player like eto'o won't be useful when there is just so little time for him to adapt

Jesus Christ! Spurs has already spent almost
120 million euros [source]
. Selling Bale is really a matter of how much more can they squeeze out of Madrid. :wtf:

Edit: I was curious about the other EPL teams' transfer balance sheet so far...

Arsenal no.1 and Liverpool, the only ones that have made profit as of now.

Well, Tottenham had plans of spending 60m something notwithstanding the 'Bale' sale .
So after the sale of Bale for around 100m, I'd say they are pretty much in profit.
Bale out, Paulinho, Soldado, Lamela, Chiriches, Eriksen, Chadli and Capoue. 1 out, 7 in.
That's a better team than City if all gels in well. I can see them finishing 3rd and probably winning FA and/or Europa easily. :|

I think that's why they're stretching Bale's transfer because they want large % of the transfer money upfront not installments. Yeah, Spurs has a decent squad now, the London derby this weekend will be a great test. :)

I'll have to watch Eintracht Frankfurt vs Dortmund some other time, EPL has exciting fixtures this weekend. :P

Liverpool - United and Arsenal Tottenham are games that should not be missed. Lots of hate between those teams and a very good and long rivalry. Liverpool vs United has been a major let down in recent years but I'm still hoping this one will be different. Arsenal - Tottenham on the other hand is a game where you'll see lots of goals. Recent encounters have been full with goals and excitement, expect more of the same on Sunday!

How many of you knew of this?

Chelsea's new signing Samuel Eto'o has labelled the club 'pathetic'... in 2005. During the heady heights of the Blues' rivalry with Barcelona the Cameroon star said, "I’d rather sell groundnuts in my village than to play for a pathetic team like Chelsea.” Charming.

I really hope Liverpool can pull a rabbit out of the bag here. But the Arsenal vs Tottenham, since I'm neutral, I can just site back and enjoy it. Surprising their h2h is quite tied with Arsenal and Tottenham winning when they're at home. But Spurs is quite different now, with all their signings and Arsenal is missing some players. So the balance is slightly tipping on Spurs for me.

If there is no help from the referee then I reckon Liverpool can get something out of that game, and I hope they do! Spurs on the other hand won't have Lamela and Eriksen available for the game I think, it's too soon for them to start. They may be on the bench though but I'm not sure what impact they may have.

Funny the things money do...
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

Manchester City still have a long way to go. Manuel Pellegrini's team might have won against Hull City after their defeat to Cardiff but their performance was bad. It took a brilliant piece of individual effort by Yaya Touré to turn things around.

I trust Manuel Pellegrini because he's a top-class manager but I more than ever have little doubt that we'll be able to finish our group ahead of City.
