United are doing all the running & Chelsea waiting to counter as usual ... I think we'll see much of the same come Fri.
IMO the players to watch with 700 eyes are Hazard, Oscar... and Ivanovic when we have to defend set pieces.
The secret is to score as early as possible...

Chelsea will lose against us if they play like this. Pretty much 4-2-3-1 <--> 4-4-2 and are only looking for the counter.

United vs. Chelsea is better than any sleeping pill. Oddly the commentator seemed to think that this was a good game.

by any chance have you watched it on skyGermany? :)

I can't believe that Giggs is still being used in such games... ! Amazing; has Man U turned into a respite center ? - For God's sake they have Kagawa sitting there with those red bricks behind him as backdrops!

Earlier, I was undecided between going out or watching the game at home. I went out, and it turned out to be the more entertaining choice it seems ;)

A game of chess although United looked like the better side. Chelsea were maybe testing their defensive approach before the Supercup. :P

De Bruyne looked really good, shame we didnt manage to get him.

First game, 70 odd mins.

ah... and he used Ba against Villa.

Btw, I was surprised with Sky Sports Pre-match really high-tech... Nice to see Carragher too.

Carragher and Neville are actually a very good team as pundits. Sky have done a good job there and this is a new show with them (Monday Night Football). It's a very good watch.

As for the game, boring doesn't even cut it. All that build-up to the game and then we get "treated" to this..

It was a very good analysis segment actually. I liked it.

They barely made any good plays. And United had better chances if only Welbeck isn't Welbeck. :P

I don't think Hazard is cut out for a #10 role. He's better on the wings.

Nice to see De Bruyne and Schrulle getting minutes. Schrulle not being able to score lies on the midfield. No supply. Torres was even more invisible when he came on.

I'm becoming more positive for the next match.

These guys don't have any respect for creative MFs. A fit Kagawa and Mata didn't get to see even 15 mins of the game.
I hope Arsenal/Tottenham snap up Mata. Kagawa, get out of there man. I believe your dream was playing for ManU and not sitting on bench.
And I am saying this because by the looks of these managers' tactics, they are going to have an average to poor season. :|

Indeed, I'm baffled as to why Kagawa doesn't get any playing time. He was such a good player at Dortmund and I hope he moves. United's style of play just doesn't suit him and he won't get many minutes this season. Mata..well I'm lost for words on that one. The best player in the PL (in my opinion) and he is being wasted by Mourinho on the bench. I hope he doesn't play him this Friday as well though!

What's worse is Mourinho has said he plans to use Hazard as the #10 and play Mata on the wings. Like Ozil. Same thing happening with Kagawa. Why put a player on the wing if he's the best choice to play on the center? #-o
