What happened exactly?
Why they are saying it was a racist act by Senglea?
If I am not mistaken they have African players themselves.

Hope it is not the cheap card being played again

I don't know, I was too busy shouting "goal" to hear them. I do believe it though. Wisdom looked deranged, it can't have been just because of the red card (which I feel was justified even if he did so in retaliation).

They do have one African player. The tension of a penalty shootout can make you say ugly things though, especially considering his penalty equalised it for us after they had twice led during the shootout. Probably a small section of idiotic, but unfortunately vocal, supporters.

Maybe he made a gesture after his goal and the Sengleani reacted to it...
Now it all depends on the Referee report

I just looked that up and it was written by an Isla supporter. There definitely was an inappropriate gesture by the player, the question is whether it was done in reaction to racist shouts or the other way round. I noticed that the club president (and others) condemned racism but did not say anything about the red card. It could be as you said or it could be that like me they think he deserves the red card anyway, but I'd say racism is still unacceptable. At least jeer him the way they would have done if it was another player rather than because of the colour of his skin.

Still it would be deemed as Racism believe me. From what you are saying they must have did that infamous sound... bad, very bad... if it was the case.
I was once present at a uefa match where BKara were playing... a coloured player went in front of our fk taker to stop our player from taking it...
He was jeered...
The aftermath of it. Uefa imposed a hefty fine cause they said it was Racist...
Had he been as white as me or as yellow as dresden's kit he would still be jeered the same way. But since he was African uefa decided otherwise.

Yeah the case you mentioned is just stupid but if it's that sound it's terrible as you said. We'll see. I'd like to watch a video replay or something.

Yeah... it must be either us or our eternal rivals Floriana. Tarxien can't be taken lightly but I believe it's between those two.

If I remember correctly we are 2 titles ahead of Floriana. Would have been much more contested if we hadn't won the trophy last year as they could reached us.

Just saw the highlights. Senglea were clearly the better team and they had a penalty call which was crystal clear.
Wisdom... the media is saying that he reacted for the boos however I am sure that he wasn't booed just for fun.

I disagree. Senglea were better at the beginning of the game only. We dominated the rest especially after the 70th minute or so, except for some few minutes just before extra time. We just didn't have many major chances so no real highlights. Consider we played 90 minutes with 10 men too ;)

Did you see why the red card was given? Still confused about that one. The penalty you mentioned is probably true but to be fair the referee made many dubious calls in their favour.
