I think the fact that we were urged to attend the signing of the contract and I chose to stay home and post about it says a lot about my opinion on the transfer. :P

For me it is just like Bayern bringing Ballack back.

To be fair he is an exceptional footballer. I always wished he signed for Bayern. He is better than any attacker we had for a long time, including Gomez :P

In the matches I saw him play for the NT. He is faster than any striker we had since Elber and maybe even faster than that. He is very technical, good long range shot. Seriously he has everything. For me he is the most underrated player in the history of football.

He's way past his prime today though. In my opinion he shouldn't even play for the NT anymore.

Mifsud scored in his first game back, in a 3-0 win vs Hibs in the Euro Cup.

:o forgot that football does exist over here!
Who else scored? Did Ballack, Del Piero , Silvestre and Gallas play?
So tomorrow we play the valletta sailors...hmmm cannot attend ... I kind of lost faith in Maltese football after what happened last May

Both Stanley. Obviously they didn't play, they are not here yet. ;)

I probably won't be going to any of the games either. Can't make it on Sunday vs Valletta and Germany are playing when we play against you.

Sliema are playing today - vs Ferencvaros... Europa league...

in an other news Rabat Ajax Montenegrin GK is being investigated after admitting that he bet on 5 maltese premier league games including some in which he himself was involved. He said that he wasn't aware that betting onto one's games goes against the rules. [-X

Sliema did very well and from this report the draw was not deserved... they deserved to win... but there was michael mifsud to miss a penalty and to miss a clear chance plus they've also hit the post and the goal by the huns came from a GK error ,good luck for next wk [source]

We definitely deserved to win. We could've scored three or four and their goal came from a non-existent free kick. They even cleared a ball off the line.

Undortunately, I think we will regret not winning next week.

Nice goal... Since you are in the sliema circle, do you think there is a possibility that he acquires the Maltese citizenship (without paying the 500,000euros of course)
