I will never understand how a player like Arbeloa finds himself on RM and the Spanish NT....

Like Mertesacker finds his way into German NT- Coach!

He was decent but not enough to displace Khedira. Modric's and Khedira's partnership is worth nurturing. I remember their last pre-season with Inter, Casemiro celebrated an own goal like Terry when Chelsea won UCL. Did nothing, took all the credit.

I don't understand why Ancelotti would repeat Mourinho's mistake on insisting Ozil to play on the wings. It's like how Kagawa is played on the wings. #-o

64th minute: Neymar makes his debut with FC Barcelona in La Liga

btw this is Real Madrid official lineup: Diego López, Carvajal, Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo; Khedira, Modric; Özil, Isco, Cristiano, Benzema.

Im curious to see how well Modric and Khedira work together and R.Madrid finally found a decent RB instead of Arbeloa :P

Also R.I.P Casillas

Real Madrid 2-1 Betis

It was a typical game where the big team finally gets the win and you could see it coming. Betis was much better team in the first half but Real Madrid did it better in the second one and Isco scored a good header in the final minutes.

Khedira got injured and it didn't look very good.

Very enjoyable game, Isco really looked class in the game with his movements and passes. Bright future it seems.

- Casemiro played great games in the preseason and he could take Khedira's place

- I think it's way too much ofensive minded because they have players like Ronaldo or Benzema with zero defensive workrate

I guess he didnt get the memo

Indeed. One of the best players on the pitch in that game, such a talent he is!

Give the guy some credit. He puts in 100% effort every game; about the only one too. BTW, that wasn't the most ridiculous sight of the game.

Try his new hairdo.

Shocking news for Real Madrid

Xabi Alonso, who has been injured since the end of last season, has broken his fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot so he could be out for at least 3 months !!

They have Illaramendi and Modric to fill that role, but Xabi is on a class of his own in my opinion....
