You can hardly call that El Classico first half, quality! I was really trying not to surf on the tablet for a minute...

James on the bench in the Clasico.
Casemiro, Asensio and Mariano came in when Barça lead the game.

James still on the bench.

Oh yeah every Real benchwarmer is better than Bayern starter. Would be easily a starter instead of Müller in a #10 position

You can say that, although I consider Lothar as the greatest midfielder ever.

Varane is so overrated, I can't even say why there is so much talk about this guy? Just because of his athleticism and speed? Manolas is x2 better!
Ramos clutch as always, true leader. If Kroos & Bale were on tonight Barca would get murdered,RM managed a draw with a crap performance.

Nice action from the 2nd half much much better compared to the 1st half, Barca suicide though, Lewy's missed chances uhh... sorry I meant Neymar's missed chances to lock down the game hurt them and as the time got by RM's crosses looked lethal, eventually the usual suspect(Ramos) punished Barca's defense which was embarassed from Sergi Roberto's poor performance and Macherano's too. Alba had two serious blocks keeping the clean sheet for theam until stoppage time. Pique, real world class CB but wasn't enough.

It's scary how RM manages to win or take the results they want without playing football, unlike Bayern for example who bleeds until securing a victory. Moreover Real Madrid has a SERIOUS problem with Benzema's ghost wearing the No.9, he is embarassing on the pitch, pure crap.

Benzema may not be the best striker in the world, but he is the best striker possible for Real Madrid because of his determination to remain as a supporting character in Ronaldo's movie. Having Suarez or Lewandowski there would make that team worse.

Definitely I agree, you put it right but there is a serious drop in his form and movement. Benzema's best year was under Mourinho & Ancelotti since Ancelotti left he has very poor, maybe his link up play is still good(not at his best either) but his work rate and efficiency is really really bad!

Obviously Lewa & Suarez must be treated as they should if they were to RM but with CR7 there(Bale after) and Florentino's management this is utopic still though Benzema is very poor, he hardly helps in any area Madrid's game, only passing to CR7. Did you see him tonight? It was like playing with 10-men Benzema lacks fire and workrate something that Morata gives at 100% but lacks technique and quality...

This is probably the best Real Madrid side I've seen in years. With a lot of key players injured, and with a relatively poor form, they have managed to slaughter Atletico away, outplay and draw Barca away, and defeat all others. Luck is still on their side (never left them for the past 4 years), but they really deserve to be there at the top of La Liga at the moment.

I'm glad they are the current CL title holders, as the "curse" won't allow them to carry this year's too ;)

Real Madrid haven't seen the La Liga title for the last 4 and half years(in 2017 it will be 5 since the last time they hold it) and they must win it this season.

It's still too early, but Zidane's got a big pressure of winning the title and it's not going to be an easy task for him and his crew.

The best Real Madrid I saw in years was the Ancelotti's one in the first half of the 2014/15 season. It was pure beautiful football.

Even if the 4-3-3 was good, I loved the few games where Bale was injured and when Ancelotti used a 4-4-2 with 4 playmaker : Casillas - Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo - James, Modric, Kroos, Isco - Benzema, Ronaldo
Bayern 3-3-3-1 build-up under Heynckes :
Neuer - Boateng Hummels Thiago - Kimmich Vidal Alaba - Robben Müller James - Lewandowski
Neuer- Boateng Vidal Hummels- Kimmich Martinez Alaba- Robben James Ribéry- Lewandowski
