El Gordo and his rotation policy... Cost him Copa del Rey disqualification. One would think that he really cares about the small details like stats and suspensions, but obviously he doesn't care as long as he takes his pen and place 11 names which fit to his daily mood. Imbécil!

Could very well be a plan to get rid of Benitez. Not so long ago Perez and Co. announced that Benitez has the club's trust and that they back him... well, now they have a reason to change their earlier view.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT | 04/12/2015

The competition judge acknowledges that Cheryshev was not personally notified about his ban

Real Madrid C.F. received the competition judge's decision at 6:17pm CET and after analysing it can verify the acknowledgement that the Spanish Football Federation did not personally notify Cheryshev about his ban, which is the only way the ban can take effect, as article 41 section two of the Disciplinary Code clearly states. We at Real Madrid C.F. stand by our argument and will take the appropriate action to ensure that the final outcome is favourable for the club.

Ooooooh boy.

So it seems, yes. Interesting to see how this will turn out. Though it's hard to believe that no-one in RM knew about the ban. :|

IMHO they don't. They have to prove the player didn't know about he ban (hardly easy to do), then prove they didn't know about it (it is a matter of public record) and then ask Villareal knew about it (they already said they are not involved in a matter pertaining to a player unrelated to them at present. Short story is, you loan a player out, you check if he has a record or not back in. That was pretty darn lousy if you ask me.

It's very simple. Ignorance of the law excuses no one. It's common sense.
