It has been way too obvious this season. They couldn't win stronger teams in Spain and they haven't deserved to be champions.

Now that unlucky match against Levante is likely to cost Atletico winning the La Liga title. Atleti deserved 3 points from that game, but they didn't take a single one.

How sad, oh God how sad... Barcelona didn't deserve to take that, though. :|

Interestingly it is back in Barca's hands. Can they do it (for Tito).

In my opinion only one team deserves that title. Atletico have been the best team in Spain this season and I hope that reflects on 24 May as well.

If Atleti lose La Liga battle, I'm pretty sure that will negatively affect on the CL match, too.

Yes you are right. At the moment the momentum is in Atletico's favour but that can shift in these two weeks.

I think it's more in Atletico's hands than it is in Barca's. Atletico just need to draw at CN, they haven't lost to Barcelona in like 4 or 5 consecutive games.

5 games. Messi has scored 0 in them.
It is Atleti's to lose.

They can afford 2 draws in the remaining 2 games as well. On paper it sounds easy, but Malaga can be a potential banana skin for them. As for the last match I have no doubt they can grind out a draw.

Since 2000, Mourinho has claimed seven titles, while Pep Guardiola now has four and only began coaching in 2008. But Ancelotti, one of the game's most decorated coaches in terms of trophies, with two Champions League crowns and a host of cups to his name, seems to struggle somewhat when it comes to winning leagues. [source]

Good article. I particularly enjoyed this part, which I think applies to us as well:

Following their wonderful win at the Allianz Arena, Madrid twice found themselves behind in the 2-2 draw at home to Valencia on Sunday and let a lead slip with five minutes left at Valladolid on Wednesday. The locals' leveller in that game came from a set piece as Humberto Osorio headed home from a corner and Ancelotti was understandably unhappy. It's the kind of goal championship-winning sides seldom concede and Carletto's Milan team often lost concentration from dead-ball situations. And that's down to the coach.

"I told the players that tactics aren't the most important thing," Ancelotti said ahead of the game against Valencia. "The fundamental thing is attitude, the mentality they have." And after the draw at Vallaolid which practically ended their hopes of winning La Liga, the Italian added: "It wasn't the case of a lack of attitude, but we lacked the mental energy for a match of this kind, at the end of the season."

Benitez too falls in the same category. He did accomplish quite a feat with Valencia but couldn't do it with LFC even though he came very close.
The guy was played by SAF and lost it. But you see his cup competitions record and you realise he is your man to achieve success.

I guess some of them are better at planning for two legged knock out games.

As for Ancelotti, it is rightly said he is more of a knock-out game winner. CLs were what kept him at Milan for; what was it, 8 years?
He really has a poor record as league winner.

LvG trumps him in both departments, I guess. Well, may be not the WC qualifiers.
