German and Catalan companies are going to build it. See the irony.

It's like a second home for us and Barca after all.

After a long tendering process, the final renovation contract was awarded to German architects GMP Architekten, in conjunction with Catalan company Ribas&Ribas. The stadium will seat 90,000 people and will also have a retractable roof as part of the new design. [source]

Yeah I heard the main architect is from Barcelona, but I guess it's just a rumour.

It's a beautiful stadium but the roof is weird. They should open up at least a part of it.

The former Spain coach, who led the side to Euro 2008 glory, passed away early on Saturday morning after a battle with serious illness

Former Spain coach Luis Aragones died, aged 75, early on Saturday morning in a clinic in Madrid, doctor Pedro Guillen confirmed.

Aragones had been in hospital after being taken ill and passed away at approximately 06:00CET on Saturday, Dr Guillen confirmed Radio Nacional.

Aragones was in charge of the victorious Spain side at Euro 2008, having previously coached a host of major clubs in Spain, most notably Atletico Madrid on four occasions, as well as Barcelona and Valencia.

Nicknamed 'The Wise Man from Hortaleza' during his coaching career, Aragones also played more than 370 games for Atletico, winning three La Liga titles from 1966 to 1973 and lifting the Pichichi prize for top scorer in 1969-70. He also earned 11 caps for Spain.

Most recently, he was Fenerbahce boss for the 2008-09 season, reaching the Turkish Cup final.

He went on to lift a total of nine titles as a coach with Barca and Atletico, as well as his European Championship victory with Spain in 2008. [source]

Barca lost to Valencia 2-3 after going up 1-0 in the first half. Both Madrid clubs have the chance of taking top spot. But R.Madrid arent gonna get a easy ride when they face Bilbao tomorrow

Maybe but RM hasn't lost to Bilbao since 2010 with Ronaldo scoring in all of them. But we can hope. [-o<

The last team to score 3 goals in Camp Nou was Bayern.

Diego scores for Atletico. They're top of the league today. =D>

Diego is a fantastic player. I can't believe how Wolfsburg couldn't do anything productive with him.

Agreed. It's also strange that no one approached him before Atletico did. He might have some attitude problems, but who doesn't nowadays?

There are similarities yeah, though it's still hard to understand everything :D

And Atleti top La Liga! Happy for them, they've played brilliantly and deserve it.

It would be nice to see if Atletico can handle the pressure of being chased by two big dogs. Simeone has done an outstanding job. He's like the Liga version of Klopp.
