Our captain (Moisander) is also injured but Tim Sparv carries the armband tonight and I believe he's much more suitable for the job than Moisander.

The Greeks have even less points (2) than we have (4) and they hate us at the moment. Promising.

At least your U21 won 2-0 vs Russia:smile:

Before this match we were top of the group after two games with 4pts

It has to do with Greece's debt and bailout loans. Our government, the True Finns party especially was reluctant to support the second loan and now a third loan. (They did eventually.)

So, Slovakia will face Spain tonight in Oviedo.
TBH I expect lose. From our starting lineup we have some players injured or are stopped because of cards.

Not sure why our cricketers warm up for matches by playing football anyway. You don't see the footballers taking a bat and ball out to the pitch before a match

I think I'll watch Russia v Sweden instead of the England match. I very rarely take much interest in England unless they're playing against interesting opposition (sorry San Marino)

Will you be watching it vs Malta?
I have a big feeling that we are going to take some pts from it:razz:

Depends what other matches are on at the same time. It's a long time since England played Malta though so I may well watch it to see what they're like. Seem to get San Marino every bloody time!

You seem to have played pretty well this campaign and had some unlucky results. Against Italy especially

ATM Malta plays well from the midfield back... going forward seem to be very difficult. We have an Italian coach you know... But having said that last Thu away to Italy we had some chances to open the score.
The only think that worries me vs england is; the gulf difference in terms of physicality... and set pieces. Otherwise I don't think that there is a big difference... I am being serious.
We have good technical players but they lack pace ... strength and cm ...
Last time Malta played England was in May/June 2000 before the famous euro 2000....
England won 2-1 thanks to a penalty and we had a chance to equalize from another penalty but we missed after a re-take...
