Yes he did but did not score. He tried to lob the ball over the keeper but failed. :P

After yesterday's Europa League results, it is the first time that all German teams in Europe made it to the knockout rounds. The Bundesliga is now the league with most representatives left (7), ahead of Spain and England with 6 each. The Bundesliga is also the league which provided the most group winners in Europe (4; Bayern, BVB, Schalke and Hannover).

There will be a lot of disappointment now if no German team wins a European competition IMO.

That's why Sammer was spot-on when he said that it's good to have all 7 teams qualify, but that won't mean anything unless someone wins a trophy.

I think the idea has already been scrapped in the last few days. The reception was as harsh as it could get. Now awaiting a the newest stupid idea (after Euro 2020 being held across several cities).

I think this may be the season german team will finally win something. Leverkusen and Hannover really have a chance. I also wouldnt give up hopes on Stuttgart, they always play better after the winter break. :)

I think the BL has a better chance in the CL than the EL to be honest. Leverkusen are Neverkusen, so no point arguing there. Hannover is the most consistent in the EL, but I don't see them overtaking the likes of Atletico, Chelsea, Tottenham... Stuttgart has a comic defense. Gladbach are back on the rise as per recent performances, but they are one left-foot injury away from crashing out completely.
