I don't expect too much from Bundesliga clubs in EL anymore. They fcked up last few years and fortunately that Bayern played 2 finals and Scheiße one semi-final in 2010/11. Stuttgart is awful, they really've had luck in the group stage even tough they haven't deserved to be here where they are. Gladbach without Dante and Reus look really funny in this season, Leverkusen is really piece of junk(who got won in Munich against us, still unbelievable defeat  ), Hannover can't be every season with these relatively unknown and above average-average players in top form who are not such talents to achieve great.

Everything is on CL; Bayern, and since 2011 on Dortmund as well. S04 are out of form and anything serious this season. Sadly, but it's reality.

Nowhere around Wolfsburg and HSV who have possibilities for making great results since their budgets are good enough to make success in Bundesliga and EL. Therefore, it's impossible to make it when you have wrong people in board who don't know for the concept "long-term strategy". :|

Stuttgart do have chance. Gladbach have to win and it'll be difficult against Lazio at their home. Also Leverkusen need a sure win against Benfica. Difficult again. But not impossible. Though Hannover are almost out. I wish however that at least 2 teams progress in to the next round.

Yesterday was a day full of surprises. Atletico Madrid lost by 2 goals at their own home against Rubin Kazan. Napoli got humiliated.
IMO they all want to focus on their leagues.

EUROPA LEAGUE LAST 16 DRAW
Napoli/Plzen VS BATE/Fenerbahce
Leverkusen/Benfica VS Dynamo Kiev/Bordeaux
Anzhi/Hannover VS Newcastle/Metalist
Stuttgart/Genk VS Monchengladbach/Lazio
Tottenham/Lyon VS Inter/Cluj
Levante/Olympiakos VS Atletico Madrid/Rubin
Basel/Dnipro VS Zenit/Liverpool
Ajax/Steaua VS Sparta Prague/Chelsea

Seeing this I think whoever progresses from Tottenham/Inter, Chelsea/Ajax and 'Leverkusen/Benfica VS Dynamo Kiev/Bordeaux' are gonna lift the trophy. Also Lazio are a contender. If Leverkusen/Gladbach make it, I'm with them otherwise I would want Ajax to win it and also humiliate Chelsea in the way like they did to City.

Bundesliga is definitely superior to EPL when it comes to technique and footballing talent, but you have a long way to go to get that winning mentality(the brits call it the "Grit") to make it to the end in Europe. The biggest example being a genuinely midtable Fulham making it to the EL final beating many big guns in the process.

3 things
1-What the hell was that dear Bundesliga teams?!

2-Juan Arangos Left foot Hammers should be used in Call of duty,What a thunderbolt!
do you know that the closest goal of Arango this season was 18 meters away from goal!!!!!

3-why doesnt arango take PKs

Exactly
I think German teams have confidence Problems so they dont play at their 100% when they face new teams/experiences

yoda, you've hit the nail on its head... a very bed night for all 4 Bliga teams.
I am afraid that none of them will make it to the next rd!
however we must say that most of them were a bit unlucky... B04 had the easiest of chances seconds before Cardozo scored the winning goal...
BM hit the post twice, missed a pen and conceded the equalizer seconds before the final whistle (although I admit that Lazio fought really well)
Stuttgard too were caught at the end...!
We hope that at least lady luck will be on the other 3 Bliga clubs in the UCL...

I'm confident that one or two Bundesliga teams will make the next round in the EL, but they all have a hard task to turn it around in the second game.

The only one I've given up on is Hannover.

I think Hannover have a better chance than Leverkusen and Gladbach

I think either Hannover or Gladbach will make it

Hannover are 90% out. Anzhi have great players like Eto'o (he will kick their asses in counter atacks), your beloved Zhirkov or Lassana Diarra.

Gladbach and Stuttgart have some chances. I think at least one will make it

Leverkusen depends on Schürrle. If he wants to make it the next round they will make it 8)

Well, the chances are equal among all. Hannover has the largest deficit, but they are the only ones playing at home. I think we'll see only 1 BL representative, and I put my imaginary bet on Stuttgart.

I think Stuttgart and Leverkusen(may be on penalties) should make it.
Gladbach have scare chance to defeat Lazio. Lazio had a beating this weekend by Siena(3-0) but yeah, Gladbach aren't in the best form on road.

EDIT : Lazio are now leading by 1-0. Gladbach are almost out.

Lyon 1-0 up against Tottenham... Really poor defending by Gareth Bale.

Lazio score another. Gladbach are doomed now.

Stuttgart too have scored.
