We drew FC Carl Zeiss Jena.

Auferstanden aus ruinen. Wir sind das Volk.

Dresden -Leipzig weredrawn together  Should be fun

They're in the fourth tier now.

A friend of mine's going to be in Jena in August. I'll tell him about this game. :)

I wasn't having a go at Dresden that time, well not really, but obviously that game is going to have a very sharp edge to it and the Saxony police must be furious with the DFB for creating such a situation. They must have thought they were safe when Leipzig were promoted to the 1. Liga, with Dresden returning to the 2.Liga

But since you mention it they should be sent to play in the Polish league where their fans'' behaviour will be welcomed. Along with Rostock, Magdeburg, Chemnitz, Halle, Erfurt, Lok Leipzig,.... Oh and Millwall :P

Carlo Ancelotti lost to FC Carl Zeiss Jena 4 - 0 in the Europacup, back when he still played for AS Roma....
Aaaaand they knocked out Hamburg last season 3-2...
She’s beauty, she’s grace, if u tell her she only watches football for the attractive players she’ll punch u in the face.

Nah, the "crazy Ossis" (golden! ) are mainly in the Dresden-Aue-Leipzig region (maybe cause Jena is closer to the former West Germany) - Although somehow Leipzig seem to be able to keep the troublemakers out - or make them behave somehow...
Which is really weird...

IMO that comment is very Racist... You in the west have been bullying and abusing the East Germans for decades... that is also a form of racism...
Double standards by the paladins of democracy.

Official generic DFB-Pokal discussion thread

Postby #12 » Mon Jun 20, 2016 6:39 pm

First of all, there's a wink in that remark - which means it is not to be taken seriously... And if you're THAT fast and loose with the word racist please don't use the term double standards as I have witnessed numerous occasions on this forum where you seemed to be rather offended by that word - at least in your eyes - being used too lightly...

Now for the explanation: people in East Germany still have some disadvantages... Structurally mainly... Meaning education is worse, standard of living is lower, it's harder to get a good job, people are less rooted in life... Meaning: Their situation is different... (Much like some other people we have talked about here sometimes - however, people in East Germany are still in a RENARKABLY better situation than them...)
They're more receptive to lies, deception, extremist positions... They want a feeling of belonging, which in extreme cases finds outlets through soccer hooligans, nazi-groups
and autonomois rebels...
And I'm not talking stereotypes, bias or prejudice... I have seen them ravaging numerous times, most recently when they last played in Würzburg and lay chaos on the whole town...
And Leipzig is actually a left-wing hotbed, they have a really big community (yes, it's not just right-wing extremists I detest...) - which is why I think it's so weird they managed to have peaceful games... Because it's usually pretty bad when those two groups meet...

And by the way: I wouldn't call taking quite an amount of money off my paycheck every month for years abusing... But if that's your idea of it: abuse me! You want my IBAN?
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

Nah I just don't like it that much when you're lecturing me about life in Germany... I don't tell you how things are going in Malta, do I?
(But I'm pretty sure there's also a "kind" of people that's frowned upon aren't there? )
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!
