The elimination of Mainz, Dortmund and Leverkusen is more of bad news rather than good news to us, because now they can concentrate even more on the Bundesliga. Especially for Mainz, since they are now only playing in the Bundesliga and have few international players. Less games = less fatigue, less injuries and 100% effort on the Bundesliga.

it is true...but as we saw last year...more games we play the stronger we are.

Our players seem that they need to play 2 games / week to keep their game up :D

But last season our players had the incentive of needing to give their 100% each game and not just in the CL, due to there being a World Cup at the end of the season in which they wanted to play.

Irrespective of whether this holds for us or not, the general consensus is that the more rest days a team has, and having the Bundesliga as the only objective left, the results are going to be better.

What I'm trying to say is that the chances are that they (mainly Mainz, but also Dortmund and Leverkusen to a degree) will be performing even better in the Bundesliga now.

you are right that Mainz and others will now concentrate on the BL...

But as it goes for us I think we are stronger if we are in all competitions.

Imagine dropping out of the CL in group stages...Our players would have very low morale as they all play for Bayern mostly because they play CL football and want to prove them self on the international stage.
But as long as we are in the CL and fighting till the end....than our players give everything in BL just to keep their game up for the CL clashes.

Last year after we won in Turin we went onto a wining streak because players were so excited that they are still in CL...and than went all the way to the finals :)

Even considering as good as Mainz are playing at the moment, I honestly don't count on them as serious title contenders.... They are a very good young team with some interesting aspects, I admit... But they don't have enough depth to be able to fight for the title until the last day... And they certainly don't have the experience, too, as we all have seen in the Pokal... my guess is they will practically get out of title contention around Februuary-March....

But Dortmund have much more quality and that's one of the teams we should be really worried about.... Thankfully, they are playing in EL... So being eliminated from DFB-Pokal means 2-3 games less for them... But if they advance to the next round of EL, they'll have the 1/16-final games there (which means 2 more games compared to us).... We might not need to worry about them concentrating fully on BL right now.... especially, considering that they need to to gather some points in their last EL group matches, but we are almost past the group stage, so we can handle CLgames with less pressure...

We could have had a way easier draw. At least if we win them, we'll most possibly win the cup.
