So funny, the Teningen players are almost celebating after being trashed by Schalke 11:1. The goalie is going around the field displaying Raul's jersey to the fans.

Pretty coo I would say, because it was the biggest gap in quality match up in DFB and, of course, these guys knew before hand what was coming.

The eleventh goal was epic. I wonder what their goalkeeper had to say after the game. That they had their chance but they were just little bit unlucky, hehe? At least goalkeeper got Raul's shirt.

I don't think he cared anymore. Normally teams tend to give up when the scoreline becomes ludicrous. Besides, in competitive matches, the winning team doesn't usually look to poach goals like the one that happened when 10-1 up. As it is common courtesy to let one or two in in lopsided friendlies, it's also common courtesy to take your foot off the gas in lopsides competitive matches to spare embarrassment.
The ideal team

DFB-Pokal Round One Wishlist

Postby tflags » Mon Aug 01, 2011 2:25 pm

DFB-Pokal Round One Wishlist

So, first competitive match of the season. And quite an important one IMO. We go against a team that is winning just about everything lately, from Bundesliga 3rd division title to their last couple of games in second division. So, wish number one is:

1. Lets stop that winning run and replace it with ours. Sorry folks, but one year without silverware is too much for us. Hope you understand.
2. Robbery have been robbed of an starting role on first match. Of all things due to injury. Really? Robbery injured? (There is nothing like good sarcasm to start a successful season, ) So we are being pushed with a lovely alternative lineup: Alaba + Kroos + Muller. Tony, you seem to be on a roll, NT and FCB. You came back from vacation fit and sound. I want 30 yard out goals please. Lets kick up this season in style!
3. Neuer, football's man of the year. Lets pay homage to that title and keep a clean sheet today. I hope that was one condition on that stupid Schekeria protocol thing you guys signed.
All the new guys have impressed us so far at least in pre-season (I am still holding a "Petersen pending" sign on my cork board though) Some of them will be playing today. Nothing like real competition to show us your skills:
4. I want a goal from Rafinha (hell, he missed one by inches on the Audi Cup); 5. I want an assist from Usami (hope he gets to play) and 6. I want Boateng on the field (anything that makes Badstuber better is good enough for me.)

That is it! Glad to share these posts with you all this season.

I don't take this game THAT seriously... an early shock exit could force the board to splash the cash for an extra defender, as well as spare us later games during vital BL and CL runs. If we win today, yay. If we don't, well too bad. Personally I am hoping a convincing performance against Gladbach soon rather than today.

Come on, team won't survive the shame if we're losing tonight. But fortunately it's impossible because our team is superior.
Anyway, I'm very excited and thanks to you quaazi I don't miss the game because if you hadn't mention in your post that game is today then I would be still thinking that our game is on 8th August or something. So, thank you, bro! : )

Hey, I called them "Vidal-selling scum"! They deserve every bit of Neverkusen after the Vidal saga, real winners don't sell players abroad deliberately to weaken home opposition.
