As another branded-Pep-hater: it was touching enough. I am happy that we'll have Carlo next year, but Pep showing emotion was a good thing. Those tears weren't PR. All the best to the man! And Lahm's gesture to let him lift the trophy was also class.

Have a nice summer anyone! May the next season be a better one.

As a sidenote, whoever is religious, could you please utter a prayer for my National Team to not get embarrassed at the Euros?

That was a very enjoyable game and the end of another chapter in the Bayern history. I don't see much point in discussing the game, but glad to see us do well in the shootout.

We now look forward to what will surely be an exciting summer and hopefully an even more successful next season. I for one realised how much I'll miss Guardiola tonight. But always look ahead. Carlo, make us dream!

Lahm giving him the trophy to lift it first was really touching. I don't think I've ever seen a coach lift the cup before a player.

...the only reason pep is crying is that his privileged record with the BEST squads in the world is unblemished despite his stupid, didactic wannabe coaching.
He can now go to Shitty, who slimed their way into the CL with a "shitty" season performance despite the massive pricetag/potential of the squad, with a positive Bayern record that was made possible by a great Bayern squad who basically achieved the domestic double despite the tactical ball and chain, that is peppy, hanging around their collective necks!!

Actually, I have a suggestion...

Every game I watch Marco Reus vs Bayern, he sucks...

That being said, must suck to be Marco Reus knowing he will never win the league again and the best chance for silverware was Europa this season or the cup today.

I give credit to Kimmich for the balls to take a penalty in a final, but the credit stops there  Probably the worst penalty I've seen in my life.

So exhausted from screaming throughout the match, felt all sorts of emotion. The whole 2 hours were a roller coaster and everything from Kimmich's performance, Dortmund's sensational blockings, Boateng throwing himself everywhere, Ribery running through his lung capacity, Costa's penalty to Lahm handing Pep the trophy was symbolic of the collective recent seasons. All in all it's "just" a Pokal and a domestic double which we've achieved numerous times before but there's something about tonight. Magical.

Woah calm down there buddy.

I think equating people who supported a coach who won 7 titles in 3 years with Bayern with plastic fans (despite the fact that many of the pro-Pep members have been here longer than many of the anti-Pep ones) is a huge logical leap. However, I won't respond more than that.

This ends here. There is no point in discussing Pep anymore. Maybe in a month or so when such discussions will no longer be heated, we can look back on his years here and pass our own personal and objective judgments. But right now is not the moment to do so. His chapter has ended (thankfully positively with tonight's win) and that's that.

No Pep discussion and especially no offending other members please, by anyone.

Yes as far as how terrible it was. But WOW as far as how early Burki was coming off his line on the pk's. Most gk's cheat a little, but this was downright scandalous.

Stop bashing Kimmich. Yes, it was a poor shot, but the kid played at LEIPZIG last season. Muller missed a way more important penalty and don't even get me started on Robben's penalties and what they cost us
. Kimmich took the shot and missed, at least he got the experience of taking a PK in such a game.
